[F@Hchat 3-8-09] Lazy bums forgot new thread!
Man, the Old Man takes a day off and no-one posts the new weekly thread.

Busy here with moving the herd around and setting the exercise room back up for the spring/summer season.
Looks like one or more of the remotes shut down over the weekend . . . points are way down . . .

Karma's time to post stats
.
As for me I just got my GTA IV series up today. (6 videos, the trailer was made by my friend, I give him credit for trying his hardest.)
Also I didn't really want to use The Shinra Corporation for the first video, but I had nothing that would fit in.
Favorite parts: 1st video-flung a police car and it blew up on contact.
2nd video-flung a light pole at a police car and it blew up on contact.
My internet is going slow, so I can't tell if that video playlist is working but here is the link if it's not: YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.Last edited by TimeDeatH; March 9th, 2009 at 01:03 PM.

I was waiting to see how long it would take somebody to post a new thread. (really busy at work today)
About had a SPAZ attack at work. I was typing on the new lappy, and when i hit the "o" i got a "6" instead of an "o" . That was a WTF moment until i realized i had hit the num lock. "lol"
We used walnuts in the hull. that way they had a nice brown stain they couldn't wipe off.

I remember using "dirt Bombs" & "sand Bombs", ... clumps of dirt & sand, when thrown would "explode" on impact & look like mini mortar or grenade explosions...
was even funnier when throwing random bombs & you hit your friends in the head or into a tree where it breaks & rains down on them...
well, until they get back & start throwing mud balls...i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

I see the car physics in GTA still suck. It doesn't have to be full on realistic, but good god the body roll about made me sick. Looks the same as it did in GTA4. Played that and the cars handling turned me off. Definitely a game pad console type game, and if I'm Driving i like a semi realistic wheel.

Just for Shy and Sky . . .
I got this today from a friend in WA . . . who knows I'm a purebred Minnesotan.

lol, that was good. I'm not purebred like harder there, 1st gen minnesotan here (1st gen minnesotan born & raised here, but with plenty of new yorker still in the blood, and absolutely no scandinavian in the genes either, all scot, Irish & German, the latter being the closest to scandinavian LOL), but still quite funny to watch, even though there's a lot of truth to the songs lyrics.

Hmmm, whats with the low output on my end? I had the 9800GTX running for a couple days straight (hasn't been for the past couple days), and run for a full 24+ hours on the E2140)
621 seems awfully low, about right for a day or so of crunching with just the 2600 pro.
9800GTX is using latest (well up until last mondays latest drivers), but maybe the GPU client is older... will see about updating it.
e2140 though with 2600 pro is using latest clients & gpu drivers.
edit: hopefully I'll have the AMD X2 system up & running in the next 2 days, came home from work last night & found that the AM2 bracket came yesterday, only ordered from FrozenCPU friday afternoon before 3PM & it was already here yesterday morning, NICE!!!
also the 3.5" to 5.25" adapter & 3.5" thermal monitor from Performance PC's also was delivered, ordered about the same time, again both companies have come through with fast delivery again, so far that 3 of my favorites for specialty PC parts (FrozenCPU, CrazyPC & Performance PC's, with Xoxide trailing for 2nd place)
now just waiting on neweggs 3.5" Rosewill card reader & the new tube of AS Ceramique.
just have to order the extra DVD drive this week to round off the AMD build for my co-worker, but going to see if I can find a used one at the local computer store for cheap, see if I can get a good price.
but right now all I can do is fix the AM2 bracket and can't do anything until the new thermal paste gets here. hopefully tomorrow.
then will be able to "test & burn in" running F@H for a while, till he gets his tax return.Last edited by ShyguyXPC; March 10th, 2009 at 01:43 PM.

Ranked 194 already and they gave me something I printed out to hang up at work for a little while. That way I can promote the program when I am asked about it.
Took my home PC into work to have the guarded programs removed so I am using that now. My neighbor is going to use my machine while I am in Afghanistan so you guys will still see some output from me time to time.
He was a journalist for several small black newspapers in the south for years. It seems he has boxes full of those small newspapers that no longer exist. So he is going to be using my machine and scanner to get an electronic record of them built. Bought an internal and external 500gb hard drive to store the info along with 100 DVD's. He has that many papers saved and they occupy 3 rooms stacked floor to ceiling.
It will become a project for me to help him get everything sorted out for an internet site when I get home.
OH my certy opps its on the other machine.

Well . . . I borked my Vista install on my main machine yesterday while trying to get the Phenom II 940 to 3.8GHz . . .
That was a special install of Vista and its been having troubles ever since the WD 500RE drive went out. So, I've done a temp install of XP Pro, which I'm on right now.
But . . . the replacement WD 500RE just arrived, so I guess it's time to do another clean install of XP Pro tonight.
(That's one of the things that hurt my numbers . . . the other was MasterOanarchy was having problems with his computer for the last couple days.
)
Numbers should start climbing again tomorrow.

KK... need a suggestion here: Processor Paired With Motherboard
new member needs some final thoughts & last minute suggestions, don't really feel qualified enough to make it for him, so if you or Ultima or someone else with more recent AMD overclocking or indepth CPU spec knowledge want to make the call on this one, please do so.
after my TINY overclock on the AM2 X2 BE 2400+, thats about as much OCing as I've done on an AMD in over 3 years...
am thinking of maybe grabbing a cheap X3 down the road in a while, 6-9 months maybe, or at least the chip sooner & just hold onto it for now. thinking of doing another mATX build if I can. but until then, I'm stuck in the Realm of Intel...i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

Is there a way to get past the youtube audio copyright bullshit, because they audio disabled my 3rd video, because of that.
Edit: Got past it.

easy way around it. Use non-Copyrighted music.
-
March 11th, 2009, 10:30 PM #20
good luck on that...
its a matter of hunting down non copyrighted music in the genre of your choice, usually from independent artists, then listening to it, see if its what your looking for, could take days & days & days, then if your lucky, find one, and use it...
or two, if you have any musical talents at all, then make your own, record it & use it.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green
