That could be due to you having a single client, but multiple cores...
It will show the percantage as the overall, so (on a dual-core) if one core is running at full pelt but the other isn't being used by that CPU client, then it will show as using 50%...
That's why I run a client for each CPU core that the machine has... (Next up, see what I can do regarding silent installs of the GPU client - otherwise I'll only be able to add one extra client.....
Oh, and it will also depend on what you specified in the setup (-config) section of the install..............I've seen the light... It was green, flashy and attached to a Network Interface Card...Whenever someone says "You can't miss it", I invariably do...

ah didn't think of that.

Is it working as you expected now, or are you happy with how it is...?

Oh man, hell yes. I have already completed two of the 0/1500 WU's in less than 24 hours after I got it rockin's that to you and Karma Killer,,,,,,,,,,I think.
The control panel is cool, we have moved from Team # 125 up to 123 the past couple of days.
Now, I am of the belief I can dedicate this ;ittle network of duo core to the cause. One workstation and 4 notebooks, all due core except one XP laggard and only 512 of mem.
Looking forward to seeing how my big notebook with Vista Prem and 3 GB of Ram will fold like a mad man.
Pretty cool. I really appreciate the follow up.

That's awesome. I'm glad you got her going.
And IDK if your aware, but you might keep an eye on temps especially on the lappy. Folding will max out the CPU core, which will lead to the CPU running warmer then usual.
Nothing to worry about, but just make sure nothing is cooking itself.
And slow and steady is the way this team rolls. When I first started folding here I believe we were well into the 300's in rank. We've covered a lot of ground since.
Keep on folding!

Welcome Net.
Just ordered the 2nd 275, looks like the first is getting about 50k a week.
Think the 2nd will double that?

Answered Question/ Raises question
Flying JJ,
Not sure, maybe the moderators will know but I am beginning to suspect that WU's are assisnged by CPU size, number OF CPU, Mem size,,,,
My WU's come in in chunks of 1500 and I have checked every once and a while and it looks like they roll off completed in sections of like 300 until the 1500 are done.
You can then go into user and team statistics and see/monitor your process ( right click the F@H icon in the sys tray. ) I already have two completed certificates for ! workunit (220 points then the 2cd work units that gives me a cert for 450 points?
I'll bet someone more senior than I can answer better!
Glad you are folding. Team 111 is moving up in the ranks!!
Thanks,
Networker4321

AFAIK You will only get points for fully completed work units. You get a certain amount of points depending on the protien that has been folded, some take longer than others so they will give you more points. (Although the larger ones dont have a very good time/points ratio compared to the smaller WU's).
Also I think we should move this to the F@H thread and not bog down the new member section.

Hello, my forum name is Networker 4321 and I started folding about 5-6 weeks ago and am already over 9K WU's. As a cancer patient (pancreatic) I hope to make a difference too and I sincerely appreciate the efforts of all in this forum. Have made some good acquantances already as well.
I am having a problem with the last two machines I tried to bring into the fold ( double entendre anyone?). The sys tray icon continues to stay at "loading" and every 4 or 5 hours the configure block pops back open. Nothing any different than the first 4 machines?
Suggestions anyone? I have already tried uninstall and re-install several times.
Glad to be here and again, Thank You.

Wouldn't have noticed the white text if it hadn't been for the complete randomness of the post......and for the fact that my pointer changed when I happened to move it over the link.............................................. .................and for Shy's spot...

LOL, thats alright, as soon as I spotted this one I noticed a 2nd one a minute later in another thread, then after I read some posts here went to one of the other forums I'm on, and only thread worth reading was another old thread from 7 years ago, that had yet another invisible text spammer, luckily the white used for the background or text was just a shade or two off, so I noticed it standing out a bit from the background, with out highlighting the post (which I do often now here for revived threads from new members, just to be sure lol). basically nailed 3 of them in less than 3 minutes on 2 different forums LOL

Other Fun,
All,
I forget who taught me this trick but it's useful. I learned it on Excel but tried it on Word and it works. Useful if you have nosy people in your home or office every once and a while.
Type your text in whatever color you prefer. Highlight your text as if you were going to copy. Select from the text color in the toolbar the color WHITE. Your text will disappear but, you can still "Save As" and send as an attachment.
of course, you have already educated your "recipient" All they do is start in the upper left, hold down the left mouse key all the way down the page to the bottom right and then select BLACK from the toolbar. Ta Da! Your text is there.
OK, it's not THAT great of a trick but it's neat.
