What exactly do you want crunching? What OS do you have? Do you want to get max PPD (sometimes a little more time consuming) or do you want whatever is easiest and works? | easiest and works

I will start folding for team 111 this weekend. Decode my signiature and you will know why. Some other questions may be answered also. If you do Keep the answer to yourself, PM me if you want. | I was starting to wonder if it was something like that, or some thing along those lines anyways (sig)
Don't worry, not gonna say what it is

While I am not using it, it may as well be doing something useful.
I am running an i7-DO with Windows 7. I will back it down from 4.2 to about 3.4 or so until I get the water cooling parts in. Damm out of stock lists.
Max points per day would be nice as long as I can still use it when I need to. I am not afraid of a little work. I can always back it down or turn F@H off for a little while if I need to use the resourses for something else. But again why not use it to its fullest potential.
Full system as follows:
i7-DO soon to be water cooled ( this week hopefully )
Windows 7
EVGA 759-A1 mobo
EVGA gtx-275 w/ almost 2Gb ( 2nd to be added >1 month )
12 GB OCZ platinum
Corsair 1000 W PS Quote:

Slacker!
It would seem the Folding Bug is working slowly on this one.

Right now since time permits I am seeing how much just 1 core nets. From the progress I see, not much.
I still don't understand, in non-tech speak, how the computer part of folding works. I completely understand how the protiens combine though.
My last post asks for specs. on how to maximize my efforts. I have actually been looking at how to build a folding farm.
It seems that about 70k is the record holder for a single computer for a day, I want 100k/day. How do I do it? Will probably wait for the gtx300's to come out so don't put too much in to it, for now! |

For anything over 40-50k, your gonna need multiple machines, with multiple GPU's.
Anywho, the best way for you to net the most points, is run 2x instances of SMP, not just the single core client.
Then run GPU2 on your graphics card. OC the shaders on the GPU helps a bit. Other then that, that's all you can do. |

nunya, takes all of maybe 10-15 seconds to do
anyways...
went to get the MRI today, doc left a message on the answering machine this evening, from the sound of it, he said its normal, but if I want to discuss it further in detail to call him on monday when I can.
so hoping thats good and nothing New found in this scan LOL...
bad news, I got my Cholesterol report back...
my LDL score is more than my entire score should be. Doc said its probably mostly genetic since my dad and mom have a history, and my dads side I know is genetic to some degree.
as it is, I eat healthier than my dad and get more exercise (despite his history, he still loves the greasy foods, and his damn George Foreman Grill , where as I tend to eat at least once or twice a week some sort of salads or casserole type foods, and some sort of Tuna/Albacore or Fish meats, and I primarily eat the leaner meats like turkey or chicken, dad does too, but he prefers the greasier variety of them, I prefer the deli meats), but he's also been on meds for it for a few years now, and on one for the last year, so his rating is considerably lower now than mine.
they prescribed Crestor for me for a month to get it down and then test again in 30 days, unfortunately damn medical coverage refuses to cover it, even though there's no generics for it.
so either the doc has to prescribe something else of put in some sort of authorization thing to get the State medical coverage to cover it (they had to do something similar a couple years ago for my Allergy meds since the coverage refused to cover Zyrtec-D and would only deal with Allegra D or some other generics.)
so have to call the pharmacy tomorrow and see if anything got taken care of, if not, won't be till Monday before I start on my new meds.
oh the joys of being in my early 30's... didn't think I'd have to deal with any of this stuff for another 15 to 20 years.
