Apparently the owner of the car on the botched transmission swap was paying attention. Looks like he may want me to take on the job, which could lead to more work. I told my Brother inlaw to let him know as long as he does things MY way we can work something out. (Don't rush Me, I don't like moving fast, I like accuracy.)

Hi,
I've created a new thread, as I've been asked to suggest a computer for someone, if anyone here can think of anything that would suit............
Suggestions for new computer...
(As stated, I'm likely to get it crunching for me - I'm not adding anything to the cost, so I'll take it in PPD....
)

Well, I've had one telephone interphew today and have a "proper" (face-to-face) one tomorrow...
Today's seemed to have gone okay, and I'm already down to one of the last seven - I'll find out if I'm shortlisted from that group tomorrow...
It'd be pretty cool if I did get it - it's only about a six or seven minute stroll from my home..!! (According to Google maps, it says that it'd take 11 minutes, but it only takes me that long to walk to the train station - which is further...)I've seen the light... It was green, flashy and attached to a Network Interface Card...Whenever someone says "You can't miss it", I invariably do...

Then there is the one i hear at work when I'M told, or ask where somebody is. "They are no longer with us". you hear that you know they were let go, otherwise they will usually tell you that where they now work.

Well, when I went to the "informal chat" it was made clear that the result of the disciplinary wouldn't involve me having a position (although they couldn't make a decision until the end of any such disciplinary)...
They said that, on completion of the disciplinary, they would give me the chance to hand in my resignation and that they would accept it... I suggested that maybe I should just hand my notice in before it, and not bother with the disciplinary..............which they agreed to. I went back in to collect my schtuffs, from my desk drawers and data on the swerver, and we agreed to call it a 'voluntary redundancy' so that it leads to less questions when I go for any other jobs....
Technically I'm on 'garden leave', but they said that they aren't going to hold me to it and that I could go out and get another job the next day... They're also paying me the notice period, and will be giving "an excellent reference" whenever it is required.......I've seen the light... It was green, flashy and attached to a Network Interface Card...Whenever someone says "You can't miss it", I invariably do...
