I think the very basic plan "if" i were to win would be to sock it away in interest bearing accounts of one form or another, and live off the interest. Not saying that some percentage of it would not be put into riskier ventures, and a nice piece spent as mad money. I also think I would take the payments over the lump sum as it would help protect me from myself. To much money to quickly has put some people in worse shape than they started in before they won.
that being said Having an Adviser that I have at least a Minor connection with would be preferred over someone i have never met that works for a Company that I know is looking out for themselves.

I thought I'd drop by and say hello, haven't been here in a while. I've been really busy lately with airsoft and an airsoft forum, with events here and there and then crashing when I get home, it's been a hectic summer, but a fun one. The alienware is dead atm. I was cleaning out dust from the fan (next to the GFX cards) and I forgot to ground myself and gave it a good dose of esd thus killing the card(s). I haven't been folding for a while, because when I am on the computer, I am usually downloading something (making the internet slow for the day, ugh I hate hughes net), looking up something, having to buy something, or making intricate and elaborate missions on ArmA 2, but that has been halted due to a bug that will be patched soon. I guess I'll go back to folding.

The most common thing is that people forget that you are still taxed on interest as a capital gain. So you have to make sure that some of that interest goes toward paying the taxes on the gain.
The best plan is to continue working for the rest of the fiscal year your in so you can get an idea of what you should be paying in taxes with your new found interest income.

Welcome Back
Well, welcome back. I joined June 1 and am learning a lot from everybody on here from about folding to now, building customs FOR folding. Plus, I am way into networks and enjoy helping the newbs with that simple yet irritating stuff. Your life sounds like mine, always busy. I'm an IT consultant for 25 years ( geez I'm old ) but I started young,,
We'll see what GTX can do for me, UPS has been delivering for 10 days with the last piece, a cooler coming in today. I only have 102 WU's out of 44K points but all of those came from 7 cows running the SMP console clients,
If there is ever anuthing I can do to help, I am on here most nights and sometimes check mail during work.
Again, Welcome Back.

I'm attending another airsoft game on sunday, it'll be at the same place as it was last time, an abandoned cheese factory, and I'm hoping more people show up this time, lol. There were only 14 people last game, and it was cut short, because someone point blanked around a corner and tore someones lip open.

TDH, thought this might interest you.
some pics of my brother and his buddies/co-workers (USAF), at their Airsoft Outings. not sure if these pics were from the recent tournament he was in down in Kansas or one of their outings on one of the training facilities or something?
but can see the level of realism they take playing it.

Break time I guess... one with his head gear off is my brother.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

Hey, I know I've been a little quite on the SPAM front, but got a bit of updating to do....
I've had some interphews, and still been applying too.... I had a telephone interphew last week, and have a second interphew tomorrow (again, on the telephone), I had another telephone interphew today and they want a second (face-to-face) interphew on Monday, I've got another agency who have a customer who are "very interested" in my CV and want to have a go at getting me in for an interphew - although I have yet to find out when, as the interphewer has buggered off on holibobs (remember that one still, KK??
) and there are a few others that have slipped my mind for the time being....
I've seen the light... It was green, flashy and attached to a Network Interface Card...Whenever someone says "You can't miss it", I invariably do...

I will soon be able to tell you what time the UPS man got done with his route. Considering My proximity to the local UPS station I can almost be certain that i will be the last stop of the day. (less than 5 mile to the UPS building.) They do a lot of the residential stuff later in the day due to people not being Home. (Well thats one of the lines of BS they have fed Me in the past.
)
10 minutes to 5 it should be pretty soon.

If they do play in that area, wow, that is alot larger than what I play at. The kind of airsoft I've been playing for a while is usually CQB (close quarters battle) and you find yourself running around alot, so I've cut back on the gear and only wear a vest, a green beanie, smoked goggles, and my gloves. I wore all of my gear on the first day I played, the boots were stiff and it was hard to navigate around all the bricks and rubbel, alot of the gear weighed me down, it was hard to move without falling, and it was hotter than the blazes of hell, not to mention I brought my heavyweight m4 which weighed 12 Lbs and I had no sling for it. The first event was miserable, the second was a blast, and so on. The last 3 games their was a cameraman (only pictures). In the first game he was mostly taking pictures of the people on the other side, so I don't think he got the side I was on, the second I nearly shot him twice, but got pictures of me, and third I did shoot at him on fully automatic, but thankfully he was running
, he got pictures of me that time too, this upcoming sunday I'll ask him if I can get some of those, so I can show them.

Morning all, nothing like having to get up at Dawn's crack for work is there...
I'm going to be driving a dustbin lorry (I think you guys would prolly know it better as a dustcart??), so I already know that I'll be heading for home by 14:35 - and the company already know that I'll be stopping for my break (for the telephone interphew) at about 11:30-ish for about 45 mins...
I was going to be heading over to Holland for the weekend (G has to go there for a business trip, might as well make a weekend of it..
) but the warehouse and/or translator can't make it for Monday, so it might be the weekend after - or the one after and leave on the Friday (can anyone guess/work out why..?!?).
Anyway, need to carry on getting my sh|t together - need to be there at 06:30...I've seen the light... It was green, flashy and attached to a Network Interface Card...Whenever someone says "You can't miss it", I invariably do...

Nope, only took it out to take pics, show off, or look at, never been used. Good luck with what ever you use it on, as you can see future RAM upgrades under that thing might be a bitch of a task to do, but the cooling potential of that thing is nice, if you have a side panel case fan blowing on it, or a low wattage CPU, it could even be used for a passive heatsink with no fan on it.

yeah i think thats one of the places they've had a competition at, or at least practice...
I remember him telling me something on the phone a week or two ago, about a 10 story hotel like building they had the competition in, was a mix of outside and inside CQB action, their team was to defend and hold the building while the opposing team in superior numbers were to attempt to overtake the building, while my brothers team awaited extraction or something like that.
ended up with a lot of cheating on the opposing team, and some of the Ref's looking the other way, with Assaulting players "respawning" on the spot instead of starting out back at base of building. My brothers team was only like 50 or 100 players, the assaulting team was considerably more, so they were allowed to Respawn downed players and end up with Reinforcements.
but my bro and his buddies have been trying to piece together a professional WWII Scenario/Re-enactment team for various competitions or shows. so he's been researching records and history and whatever he can find on several of our mom's uncles who fought and died in WWII, as well as our grandfather who server in the Navy during WWII (though he served on ship for awhile and supposedly with those PT boat patrols too).
but when my brothers played these "Peace Time" wargames, he's always gotten into character for them, when he started playing Paintball, this is what him and friends back home, were playing when he'd be home on leave after basic training etc...
well, he'd be more in character, most of his buddies would be in some sort of camo attire but nothing like this, and with their Tippman Speedball type markers and not armed with an Armotech/Ariakon Military M16/M4 style marker, his best friend had both a Tippman decked out to look like a pseudo MP5, but my brother one upped him, he went out and bought an Ariakon Sim5 LOL...
anyways some pics of him paintballing before he switched to more affordable Airsoft.

I think I posted these once before, but can't remember? (bottom one, you have to look real hard to find him, as this was when he was in "sniper mode" lol)Last edited by ShyguyXPC; September 4th, 2009 at 01:15 AM.
