[F@H SPAM 10/07/09] If you want something done...
Well, my first ever thread start because you lazy SOBs left the door open! It's Wednesday!!! LOL.
We are at 98 on Extreme, and more to come baby! Our weekly output just climbs and climbs, and there is still no one--not one team, in the rear-view mirror.
Grr, tried to paste in the weekly stats update here and got less than optimal results.Last edited by Sky King; October 8th, 2009 at 09:41 AM. Reason: typo

Spellcheck FTW..!

No stats in here either...?? IDK...
According to EOC, our daily PPD output means that we should be in about 47th spot as it stands now.....

Lets see if we can up that and break into the top 40...!!I've seen the light... It was green, flashy and attached to a Network Interface Card...Whenever someone says "You can't miss it", I invariably do...

I was thinking (after I posted) that the stats are likely to be somewhat skewed this month - what with the competition and all that......
Anyway, on with the SPAM...!

Try and change the subject eh...??

Well, it seems that I'm now suffering throttling due to heat in WKS02... :|
Just a quick bit of maths has lead me to think that (if it wasn't for my GPU being used for the comp) I'd be looking at about 10k PPD as it stands (with throttling issue included) which is a decent boost, but I'm sure it could be better if I could get it a bit cooler...
Methinks I need to raid the piggy bank for more ca$h..!I've seen the light... It was green, flashy and attached to a Network Interface Card...Whenever someone says "You can't miss it", I invariably do...

October 7th, 2009, 04:52 PM #12As quickly as possible....Try and change the subject eh...??

If thats the Pentium D rig then that CPU is def getting way too hot, so if you can afford a new CPU cooler it would help....

I was about to get you into a Skype convo (again..) to ask about that... Think I'll prolly do that in the Skype SPAM instead....
In other "news", I haven't had anything through the post from the States... I got a 'ticket' from the postie yesterday that I was hoping might be it, but it was only a (belated) burpday card from my Aunt in York and a CD of about 30 pics that she decided that she didn't want to FTP over to me.... She didn't even put enough postage on it, so I ended up paying £1.08 to get a couple of belated buffday cards (one was from my cousins, in the same 'packet') and something I'd asked her to just send electronically...
She turns of her router whenever she doesn't need to use the internet as she's afraid that someone might hack in.... This is the same woman who left about 14 copies of the same set of damn pictures from our snow hols on my Mum's laptop, and another 8 on my server....

Ok here is one for you guys. Why would 1 gpu be running fine and the 2 others be running at about 1/2 the ppd they normally do? Nothing has changed except that I switched the "OK" card over to the new name for the contest. No new drivers,no changes at all. Any clues or what to look at?
Took all cards out, cleaned and reseated on mobo.
Card 3 is having no problems ( 275 FTW ). Cards 1 & 2 ( both 275's ), if I run either card alone, will finish a % in 34 seconds = normal. If I run both cards at the same time, it will take 76 sec per % on both cards. No sli enabled, the bridge isn't even installed.Last edited by Flying JJ; October 7th, 2009 at 07:15 PM.

Karma Might know this one. If I remember right he had similar problems, but was running 2 different cards at once, and dragged the PPD rating down on the higher card.
though completely different, it may shed some light on why 3 cards that are the same are getting lesser PPD ratings.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

Had this problem the other night. My GTX275 was only getting 4800 ppd on some wu's. Try reinstalling the driver's. In my case I switched drivers totally.
I noticed all kinds of weird stuff after installing the 190.62 drivers for Win7
bsod's random freezing only half ppd output.
I went back to the 185's

That's when I learned about the different steam processors make a difference. JJ's situation is akward for sure. Trying to figure it out, but other then maybe motherboard issue, I'm not sure what to think. (Bad WU's a good thought also)
Maybe when he calls EVGA CS they can cough up some more info.Q6600@4Ghz | i7 920@4.4Ghz |E6320@3.5Ghz
