Powershell btw, is the new administrative scripting language if you will used in Win7 and Server 2008. There is some DAMN nifty things you can do with it.

Don't know what the deal is then, it installs fine, just when it tries to log in it hard locks the entire system, and there is no HDD activity light, so its not an issue of it accessing the drive, just locks up everything. sometimes I can move the mouse, but nothing is clickable, and Ctrl Alt Del does not work either, have to manually shut the system off via the power button.

My friend on steam has had problems with windows 7, one of those problems being that it froze randomly. He counted 23x, but I have no idea what he was doing/etc when it froze so idk.

its the only program thats done that to me since June, so no idea, but was bound to happen with something.

I wonder if its possible it could have something to do with my Bridged Ethernet Connectors?

after bridging them, the damn OS and diagnostic program asks me to update to latest driver for them, and they were updated prior, but once they were bridged it asked me to update again.

wonder if Skype is having issues on the client side negotiating or connecting through the bridged connector or what, though it shouldn't if the entire OS and other programs have no trouble, but you never know.

on another note, WTF is up with newegg, I just noticed the miniscule selection of Nvidia GTX series cards, in total, they only have 39 different models, spanning the 260 all the way to the 295?

half of those are out of stock.

I'd expect this with ATI's cards with the new 5000's out, with 4 series dropping in price, but none of the 4000's seems to be less, and plenty in stock, still, Nvidia GTX series pricing hasn't changed much, but just seems to be a shortage, almost has me thinking the GT300's might come out early, at least the top end model.

and supposedly on Friday or Saturday, Evga And Nvidia will be debuting some new card that will change things with how PhysX/GPU work together, or something, was in their latest email earlier in the week, they admitted it wasn't GT300, but something new...

so has me wondering WTF is going on with Neweggs Stock.

have to laugh at Neweggs pricing as of late as well... here it is you can get a brand new 512MB 4870 for $125, where as an Open Box Model will run you $195... Hmmm, Open Box, with limited day return policy, or Brand new, with 2 to 3 year or even lifetime warranty from manufacturer for $70 less... Gee I wonder which one I'd chose

anyone know of anywhere that is selling an AM2 or Socket 775 DDR2 Motherboard (DDR2 533, 667 or 800MHz compatible CPU, basically Core 2 era single or Dual core, celeron or Pentium Dual core motherboard) for dirt cheap, need at least 2 DDR2 DIMM Slots, 4 preferable. Leaning more towards AM2 though with a single core sempron.

also looking around for a cheap Sempron or Celeron single core.

basically I have the case/PSU (Qpack), have the RAM (just have to send out payment to a friend to cover it), HDD, DVD, OS, even Video card for PCIE. just need the Mobo and CPU...

though I did find this combo, and am seriously considering, but trying to find something cheaper if I can.

Biostar Motherboard/CPU Bundle COMBO6N3 Biostar MCP6PB M2+ Socket AM2+ Motherboard AMD Sempron LE-1100 CPU Cooler Master K8 Fan-Best Computer Online Store Houston Buy Discount Prices Texas-Directron.com

yes, this has to do with the Skype Issue above, but figured If I can put together a build cheap enough, I could slap in the Radeon 2600 Pro or even the 4830 and add another GPU for F@H. (since I have all the other parts already)

I can nab a G31 Mobo for $40, if I could find another Pentium Dual core e2140 or similar for $15 like I did before, that'd be perfect (RAM I have sitting here is 4x 1GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800MHz). even a Celeron would be adequate.

but figured I'd ask here first, since some might have some connections or leads.

anyone got a Fry's near them? FRYS.com*|*Gigabyte

one of those with a Sempron 140 from MC for $30... and that'd be a damn nice combo, even if it doesn't have a SB710 or 750 southbridge to unlock the extra core, 2.7GHz Single core is still plenty nice

Shy,
Have the Micro Center, but no Frys. If you need something from them let me know. It may of course be cheaper to just get them to ship it, 6% PA tax really blows sometimes.

I think I may know the reason to why my laptop is being fussy with that new mxm card I bought for it. The card was originally made for an Asus laptop (I think a C90 or something along those lines), but still is the same exact mxm card as the other one with the same exact heatsink (matched the numbers). From what I've read online I need to flash the VBIOS in order to get it working. Sounds easy....not. The only way I can do this is if I knew what VBIOS to get for an m17x (R1 version, aka oldest version), and if I can replicate what I did to get my laptop to play the windows login screen sound again, because the disk drive won't open unless in windows (you have to use fn+f8 to open it), and I don't have a floppy drive on the laptop, nor do I have an external one. If anyone can help me find the correct VBIOS for an m17x alienware laptop (r1 version) that would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I'll contact alienware directly, but it will probably be on the second email with a sob story in order to get them to reply.
Edit: Edit: They cut off their customer support through email. , Emailed MXM-upgrade.

seems its in store pickup only for the Sempron (@MC), "local" Minneapolis store anyways, pretty sure its the same at yours too.

Done creating a hostage situation mission in ArmA 2. Insurgents (15) have invaded the town of pustoshka, and have all the villagers in the town square. It's up to a group of spec ops (5) to wipe out all of the insurgents without harming the hostages. It's both a single player and multiplayer mission (co-op). It has everything a mission should have, an overview for singleplayer, a small briefing with pictures in it, a losing scenario, and a winning scenario, along with in game music at certain waypoints. It requires the littlebirds mod.

It's hard to believe this small little mission took me a week .
