Well the 2nd PC is shut down for now, Have to run Memtest on the RAM tomorrow, I'm suspecting its having issues, as I've had several BSOD's in XP since earlier today, ever since F@H GPU Client crashed... reboot and it had to do a system/disk scan...
boot into Windows afterwards resulted in a BSOD, suggesting something to do with Memory.
rebooted, and disabled the only change in the BIOS I made which was switch the DRAM speed from Auto to 800MHz, didn't need to be as it is 800MHz DDR2, but figured just set it to 800MHz in anticipation for OCing the E2140, but that was before I found out it was the CPU cooler that was making the noise... so I set it back to auto, and reboot, it boots into Windows, then an instant quick flash of the BSOD, and then reboots, try again, does same thing...
so I tried Safe Mode, same result, since the RAM is the only new hardware added in the last week, I'm wondering if some of it is bad, or went bad...
so shut the PC down for tonight and will worry about it tomorrow when I get home from work.
so for time being now Folding on the 9800 GTX
or a second gaming PC for my bro to use... still have 2 sticks of the RAM, so can check to see if it is good too, or just stick the known good stick of Geil I had before in it and lose Dual channel.
praying it isn't XP thats FUBAR'd.
on another note, anyone running the latest update for Firefox? got a notice that it was available, but didn't opt for it yet.
current version has been pissing me off big time in Win7, with DNS errors all the time loading some pages, Chrome tends to fair better, but still has issues, and IE is about the same as Chrome, currently having good luck with Safari, tends to be much faster loading pages and content than the others (posting from Safari right now).
