Ok guys sorry for having two threads about ECCP but I have two questions! I can't figure out how to install the booster for the p4's I got the normal one installed and want to add the p4 boosts! How can I do this also! I read both of the readmes and I can't seem to get either working!
p.s. if anyone wants to do it threw pcanywhere ill get the files if you will install them for me and get this running for me! But a explaination will do! |

Here's the fastest client for the P4, written by JBerg: http://ecompute.org/eccp109/012102/Ecc109.exe
It's a CLI client, which I've never used. I think there a few folks here who've used it, so they should be able to help you out. Best of luck! |

Sorry, I guess I misread your post the first time.
The only two people I can think of who are using PIV's are jman01pa and eagle1. I suppose either they haven't read this, or they have and don't know how to install the enhanced clients (if that's what you're talking about). You could try PMing them.
Hope you get it figured out! |

Just copy JBergs executable over to the directory where your original install resides. Just start the command "ecc109.exe -v" to see how good it does. Stop the client with ctrl+Break, restart it without "-v" and minimize the window.
To send the points, just fire up the GUI-Client and let it send, then stop it. No need to stop the command client during this action.

I just downloaded the P4 update from here http://ecompute.org/eccp109/012702/Ecc109.exe
And installed it according to Herbs above instructions. My P4 1.4 went from 250,000 to 318,000 iterations average. Still low in comparison to my Athlon 1.0 at 740,000 iterations but a nicer improvement nonetheless. I believe faster P4's will have a bigger increase....
Thud - Your link is bad.

I'm only getting 315,000 to 321,000 on a P4 1.6. My P3-866 gets right at 460,000. That's a crying shame..No wonder I like my P3's And Athlon better...
