LOL, that is good. Imagine how much that would cost though IF it were an actual Lego kit, LOL, probably a good 1 to 2 grand, with what it costs today for Legos LOL.
I like how the lego people are sitting on the printer head at computer controls and one on the marker arm lever LOL.

Have you tried using an external screen/monitor..? Can you PING it from another computer..? Does the HDD spin up (presuming it isn't an SSD) and/or do you get any action from the disk activity light..?
June 2nd, 2010, 07:46 PM #25
tried the external. no dice. don't have another computer running, on the neighbors now.
Laptop leaves for Texas tomorrow.
betting the video card is shot, hoping i get an upgrade.

Dang 6.29 client crashing on Ubuntu 10.04 . . . . guess its 6.02.
PS: Hey guys! Been gone a while. Back to folding, finally have time outside of Uni to actually participate again!
June 2nd, 2010, 10:38 PM #27
Its even in the other clients! LAME! I tried this fix and it did not work:

Any ideas to get my machine back in the game?
PS: this is the error:fah6: relocation error:
/lib/libnss_files.so.2: symbol __rawmemchr, version GLIBC_2.2.5 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

Welcome back to the Fold.... I'm having issues with my Ubuntu (10.04) install too, can't get it to launch without just having the Terminal session close instantly...
June 3rd, 2010, 02:37 AM #29
That error is probably why. It appears that in using an older gcc to build FAH, they linked to a library that the latest Fedora/Ubuntu releases dont have. There are some fixes(a summary of which is in the link i posted) but it didn't work for me the first time, and I have homework to do.
My solution for now? Run it in Wine.
If you get it to work let me know.

Just in case it helps any, this is the guide I used to get my work VM to where it is now...

Yeah, VERY similar to what I need. Step 3 is actually exactly what I did . . no dice. :/ Wine client seems to be working just as well though.

can someone run the script and post some stats!? Just curious, no rush on it. Want to see how my folder is doing and of course the damn stanford servers are updating.
June 3rd, 2010, 12:34 PM #33
Theres a script?
And where did all of these boxes come from with your stats?

June 3rd, 2010, 03:04 PM #35
Cool! Thanks for the tip. Sure has changed around here since i had left for a while . . .
June 3rd, 2010, 03:42 PM #36
IDK when you left, but it doesn't seem to have changed much - if at all - in the time I've been here...with the exception of being able to have the F@H stats in your sig, and there being less activity in general on the site...
June 3rd, 2010, 03:47 PM #37
I had left due to time constraints and $$$ constraints - thats what being a newlywed college student does to ya.
Dont get me wrong though - I enjoy being a poor newlywed college student!
June 3rd, 2010, 03:57 PM #38
IDK when that was, as I didn't get started on Folding as soon as I joined up, and I didn't know about the stats for at least a year...
I'm sure it should've been for long enough to change you from being newlywed....unless you're referring to the married exercise you get a lot of practice at doing (at the begining..) as to the state/status.....

Back in the old days, there was a new thread every day, a prize of red rubber hotpants given by Twinkletoes . . . and it was almost like a chatroom up in this place.
But, I suppose that things have slowed down to a normal forum pace? Are you the only other frequenter now? (besides nemo, and the one guy . . . really only like 4 ppl in here?)
