One of the guys at work has just got himself a micro PC, and he was discussing which OS to put on it.......and thanks to that other thread, I advised him to put the BlackBerry OS on it; as it is soooo much better than a MAC OS... The Mac-ophiles over heard this (I may have deliberately said it loud enough for them to hear ) and started an amusing [to me and the guys I sent the link to, quoted about] rant about it...
    Code:
Nothing doing, just forcing a break in the post from my BlackBerry...
At least one of them realised I was ripping the p|$$ and agreed - as you can't put a MAC in your pocket...
I've seen the light... It was green, flashy and attached to a Network Interface Card...

Afraid thats not the case (you keep saying your not a specky techie ).. I doubt that mobo would run that E6750 (poss with an update)... Hope you have not chucked it?

I'll check tomorrow, when I get home, but I think I shoved it back into the ZIF socket on WKS01's MoBo - at least it can be used to stop any cr@p getting into the socket...

I did actually check with some of those (on the Folding section) at the other site...they were of the same understanding/theory/whatever as I was. Obviously, I have no qualms about being proven wrong on a technicality - as I am not a speccie techie...

    Hello everybody!

Hey Shy got a job for ya coming up soon. A buddy from another site is supposed to sign up here to get some advice on a build. Full build from case to OS on a budget. I don't know all the details so i can't say what the magic number is. bottom end would be about $500 top end under $1000. I'm thinking a solid build with lots of room to upgrade. The good news is i don't think you will be pulling your hair out over stupid BS like you do with other people.

Alright, let me know when he posts, I'm in and out of here at random, so never know when I'll be on for sure.

but I know between Me, JP, Stroyal (getting much much better with peoples builds ), Nick and some others, Aaron included, they should be able to get some good suggestions for parts list.

Speaking of others, Any one talked to Karma Lately? I saw him post once on here the other day, I know we both clicked "Like" to one of Overclock.net's postings on Facebook earlier in the week, in regards to their Applique Sticker Giveaway thing, so I know he's still online, etc, but just haven't heard much or seen around much lately...

I know would probably see around more if I was logged into Steam more often, but usually only on Steam for a few Steam games on occasion, updates for games or once in a blue moon looking for Freeware games or Cheap cheap deals on different games, DLC or whatever else on there.

LOL, saw that a few years ago, still funny.

but with all that techno babble talk, thats another reason I'm not to handy or fond of Linux... too much configuring and having to know all that over again, its like having to learn a MUCH more complex version of DOS all over again LOL.

But then again, may I'm just spoiled with Windows and Apple OS...

Even the most Windows Like linux Distro's to do anything that would be normal for a Windows Power User or Custom configure type person, you still need to know a lot of that Linux jargon and what it applies to.

Oh well, at least this was worth a good laugh or two this afternoon, How much is 1GB SSD compared to a regular ATA HDD?

saw the thread title and was like HUH? so looked at it, and yeah, HUH and WTF would of best described the Thread/Question...

even after brief explanations and replies by Nick, and Rich, they still weren't getting it...

    until the very end.

    LOL, ok.

yep seen that video a few weeks ago, showed it to my dad, both had a laugh.

Still hard to believe its real until you start watching the whole thing, as well as view other videos of this Duo in other places, and on various TV shows.

I'm still thinking that he is/was single....and had been for long enough to train his dog to not only dance................but also remember a whole 3 minute routine.......

Well one things for Sure, this guy puts Caesar the Dog Whisperer to shame, if he was the one able to train the dog to do this.
