Couldn't come up with a better title, but its simple and to the point LMAO!!!
Anyways, Old Prior Thread Here: [F@H SPAM August 2011] Brain Fart...???
Waiting for my 15 Year $150 gift certificate from work for my new phone.
Also waiting on release of the Raspberry Pi PC, see how it turns out. For $25 for base model, its not bad, I'd be willing to pay that much even if shipped from Overseas LOL.
Though think I would spend and get the Model B version with the more powerful USB port and Ethernet for $35. Raspberry Pi | An ARM GNU/Linux box for $25. Take a byte!

Um... Someone hand me a Rag please AMD Releases 11.10 Drivers With Official 5x1 Support
The YT videos aren't bad, But for me the biggest issue would be those damn Bezel's between all the displays, it'd get in the way and really bug me trying to play like that.
Though one could probably hack apart the LCD screens and place the Screens edges together eliminating the bezels, but who wants to do all that work LOL.
They just need make large displays on a flexible design, that can be 3 to 6 feet wide, and you can arc/bend it to what you need.

Where did you hear about this!??!
OMG!!! I cant see pictures so i dont have a clue how big this is but im game if i can make it suit my needs ...
I cant see the link but i think this is it ...
The idea of putting a server in a bottle of liquer has been a fasination of mine since i first read the article on it. I was really hoping the micro and pico mobo's would suit my needs but i havnt been willing to drink a 5 gallon jub of cheap wine to make the case for a server. These days, i think i just want to drink a jug of wine more then anything though . But depending on how small this particular build is, I could see how you could manage a reasonable little server package? I know next to nothing about linox though so i would have to see how hard it would be to turn one into a functional all in one server. NLM, any experience in this realm?

ps: finding interesting things to read/watch/listen too at my new job is rather difficult. I am very pleased to find out that lifehacker is not one of the blocked sites. Im starting to read their articles and found one in particular that i hope to help organize my day...
I am going to start integrating some of this thinking into my day to help keep me on track. This should also eliminate my anxienty that i feel i end up wasting the day away and making it hard for me to sleep at nights. Maybe i can return to a "normal" sleep schedule and not try to survive on 4 hours of sleep through the week and binge sleep on the weekends. Anyone who thinks sleeping 16 hours friday into saturday and again on saturday into sunday is normal needs to tell me how they manage a life on the weekend...
Cheers!

Take a byte! | Cool find, I had no idea something of this nature was in the production stage (well almost) for mass markets. If the launch is good, and reliability reviews are good, I will definitely be purchasing the model B version. Though I will probably build a small enclosure for it, this is the perfect, low price point, and very low power consumption pc I've been looking for as a secondary / backup.
Besides, after seeing the 1080p setup and the maxed out Quake III, that made me quite impressed. Sure neither require graphical powerhouses, but to see it come out of a barebones to the core device like that is very intriguing.
__
This being said, I've got a spare 15" lcd and of course tons of older keyboards / mice so I'll probably set it up in the living room as a media / browsing pc and run the hdmi out to the 1080p TV. I've got a USB wireless N spare somewhere in my room as well so this is looking to be a very good alternative to a media pc.

Yep, been occasionally keeping tabs on the PC since I first heard/read about it a couple years ago, usually every so often something about it would pop up, usually someone else posting about it.
I can't remember if it was here or over at XPC, but someone had posted about it a year, year & half ago.
from its specs of what I've read, it easily beats many of the Via Based Nano ITX systems that have come out over the years, though its an ARM CPU and not x86 architecture, but still. Would make a great Car PC, or basic browsing, light light 3D gaming HTPC.
Not really sure on if they will be selling them with an enclosure case, or just the barebone, as the original intentions were to sell to Schools and Various organizations for a cheap PC to teach kids on. but they said they'd be willing to sell to anyone that wants one.
from what I read, there are companies out there interested in making add on cards and what not for these things as well.
I wouldn't mind seeing the RAM bumped up in these though, and see if Windows 8 would be capable of running on it. since Win8 is supposed to natively support ARM CPU's as well as x86.
now if someone can make an affordable small Capacitive touch screen that can run off USB power or something (6 to 7 inch would be OK for me, but even 10 inch would be nice).
connect to this thing and have for use on desktop for a 2nd smaller display for Teamspeak, or Email, or whatever while gaming or doing other stuff on the main PC, that would be handy.
Though will be interesting to see what people do with these over the years. Overclocked? Modded? Etc.
I also love the power requirements, supposedly the Model A will be capable of running off a couple AA batteries or something.
