I've installed ECCp onto two comps here at home, both which also have UD running. after I installed them, the comps seem to lag a bit every couple seconds (a complete freeze, including the mouse, for about a second or so every 20 seconds). This happens no matter what im doing - if im just in my computer, navigating through drives, or I'm playing a game. It happens on both, so I *think* its normal for ECCp. I'm using 1.32 client by the way, which I think is the latest one. I was using the optimized 1.30 client before that, and it pumped out alot more points, but had even worse lag, which prompted me to uninstall the optimized one and load on the 1.32 one. But now even this one is getting unbearable. Thier both set on "low".
And it does stop lagging when ECCp is turned off, so I'm 99% positive its ECCp's doing. UD never had this problem with me. Just wondering if this is normal. If theres no way to fix it, im dropping off ECCp and just doing UD from now on, because the lag is getting really annoying when I'm playing games. |

Unfortunately, that's similar to what I've seen on some computers when trying ECCp at different times. In my case I didn't find a solution and I currently don't run ECCp.
I've seen it on P4s and XPs with more than 256megs of ram. |

No, That's not normal, but I don't know what to tell you to fix it either?
I honestly cannot detect any performance drop on my XP1800+ or any of my P3's when either UD or ECCp are running... or both. ??? |

I haven't had any lag problems, from a Celeron 300 to an XP1800+, and many in between. Someone else was just reporting a lag problem, too. You might try uninstalling/reinstalling the client. Other than that, I don't have any idea what could be causing it. |

Me either. But we need more info..
What are you running and what is your OS?
You may have a setting or something that needs to be changed. |

I have experienced something similar but it's really not lag from the mouse and it doesn't happen always!!!
It's like if I try to open Windows Explorer or My Computer, the computer takes like 10 seconds for it to appear. But other than that, I haven't gotten any problems.!
You should try any other clients! I never use the original ones (always use optimized clients). So try an optimized client and see what happens.!

I did try the optimized clients except it was even worse.
The first system is a Duron 750@933, 512MB of PC133 SDRAM.
Second system is a Athlon XP 2000+, 1GB of PC2700 SDRAM.
Both run XP Pro...so maybe its that.
I see im not the only one experiencing this though.
And this happens whether I set it to autoflush or not, so its not lagging because it's flushing. |

I run eccp, and UD together on this system which is a 1.4 tbirdy.. with 1 gig ram.. I notice no lag.. evne playing games..
I also run them together on my P4 2.o ghz system with 1 gig rdram.. I don't see any problem on it..
the only time I get lage is if I set the client to anythign beyond Low.. keep it on Low and u shouldn't see problems.. un less u have about a million things running in yout task bar..
If u do.. then u may have to much running along with eccp.. and will notice a differance..
