Joining ud

If I join your UD team, will it make all my previously completed WUs go onto your stats, or just make me start from scratch again?
I have joined anyhoo. But not all of the cows are running winblows all of the time so I wil have to get something sorted out on that.

nukes,
My understanding, is that points and team memberships are not transferable...

I'm sure that the EMCs would be happy to have you contribute.

But I'd be happy to offer a ground floor membership to a DC team on the up!
Team TIMO for FaD!

Mick started this thread for FaD

This is where we got the TIMO FaD Team going!

Would be pleased, if you'd like to join!

ChrsR.

Btw: Most of the FaD team are still running UD.

Hi nukes! So glad you joined up!
Welcome!
Unfortunately your stats don't come with you when you join a team.

BTW there are many UDer's on the TechIMO team not running FAD.
Please don't get the wrong impression you don't have to do one to do the other around here. But if you have the resources to do both projects you're putting it to good use!

I'm going to be sticking FaD on as well anyhow.
These are the cows I have atm:
2 AMD K6/2 500mhz - one with 64mb ram doing nothing else, other with 256mb ram used for e-mail
1 Duron 1000@1100 w/256mb soon to be 512
1 Duron 700@770 with 256mb ram

I will add a P3 Katamai 500 once I have sorted out the cooling, at the moment the heat alarm goes off within a few seconds of starting UD, but drops back down to the 20s/30s when not running it. Once I have sorted that, that will be running both as well, hopefuly with an overclock.

I have signed up with 2 cows on Fad, unfortunatley, one of them runs linux most of the time, in fact, the only reason I booted into XP was to sort out these DC projects and I could do it all over the network.
For THINK, it is best to have a server running on each machine, or it is better to run them all off the same one?

So, should I just run fad on the K6's, my dad let me set up ud on his machine once I explained it fully. I feel more inclined to leave that one as it is.
I have started clocking up the P3, even though it overheats when I get anything running on it, but UD is there and waiting to go.
If UD times out, I will kill it on the other K6 machine. (13% after 25 hours cpu time isn't any good, and that was before I put FaD on as well ) It only has 64mb ram!
With regard to the FaD linux client, I am slightly sceptical as that has been floating about for a bit, and last time I checked their forums there had been no movment on that front, but if we ever get one, I will be chuffed.
