I was wondering why a couple my cows output seemed low. For some reason x86core.exe was listed twice in "processes running" I also got an e-mail stating I was sending dups. I stopped one of the cores and now the machines seem to be up to par. Both have win-xp. My two win98se machines don't seem to have the problem. It seems somehow when you start the client, it starts two x86 cores running so it runs at half speed.
Anyone else have this problem?? Or if you know someone thats seems slow you may want to mention this.

Edit: I am running the latest client and the Jeff Gilcrest GUI. v0.7

I've only heard about this when using a GUI. |

umm did you have "autostart ecc2 client" check in the gui? or did you try to check your stats using the clicclient when you have the client installed as a service?
that's the two ways i've heard so far of the client running twice. |

Yes I have autostart checked along with autostop, Start in Tray and client hidden. BTW I like the newer client as it finds the ecc folder on its own if someone closes or the client stops. Before I had to search for the ecc folder and open it myself to get it running.

Did you get this resolved, S-F?
I had something similar on an XP box that was digging an old start-up shortcut out of the recycle bin after I had installed the client as a service!
