[AIDS] All AIDS members - This project is useless now!
As stated earlier, it seems doing the FAAH project (FightAids@Home) is a useless task as their nodes are forcing everyone to run their App20 benchmark for god knows how long - Come on guys a simple reply with your thoughts would be great! Are you doing it for the mere points or for a cure for cancer?
NOTE - Open your Entropia client and check the upper right hand corner (in the HTML page) - Does it say App20? Congrats then if it is! You're doing pointless tasks! Whoo hoo!
Original, quite empty thread - http://www.techimo.com/forum/t55879.html{ da' one and only vorte[x] }

Goodie the thread got moved - Obviously no one cares as I have tried to make people aware of the problem 3 times so I think we'll just have to stop AIDS all together.

I quit AIDS a long time ago when it wouldn't find a cure like everyone else's it'd just finish the project and never have the time. I might try out FAD soon.

Try out FAD, its a great client and doesn't mind running alongside UD if you are already doing that.

Too bad we did so wel in this project. Moving up from scratch almost in the top15 and a possibility to reach #3 by new year.
I'm killing it know but not yet deleting it. I'm putting ecc2 on my machine. I was already running ECC2 for awhile and I feel I need to help them out some more, especially now since they are moving downwards at the moment.

At least you can now be sure your wasted cycles are being used for what you intended them to be working on. We did do very well at AID's and IMO it is thier loss and the other DC projects we have chosen to do who gain

I think all AIDS members should join FAD and uncheck everything but HIV and stick it to Entropia for doing this.

I think I should point out that FAD is not actually running the HIV project at the moment.Though THINK (Keith Davies-the Project founder) is involved in discussions with possible collaborators.Originally posted by poopeyhed2

If members tick the HIV box and nothing else by default the Methodology molecules (1bzh-q5) will be downloaded.

http://www.entropia.com/top_teams.asp
See team Team2ch, fightaidsathome, KopyKatz. Something is defenately wrong there. So many hours so less tasks!!
I got a record on previous tops and this is the first one to be incorrect.
Glad we left it. I see we got to 16 as predicted. My prediction for place 15 was 8 april, guess we never will make it that far. Guess, who cares....not anymore that is.
Too bad I liked the project.

Well spotted about kopyKatz, definately something amiss there
. If there are any more TechIMO folk left doing AID's why not try any one of the other DC projects that TechIMO participate in as AID's is definately not doing what it is supposed to be doing. Info can be found here

If so the spam filter must have gobbled it up. Good thing I came to see what was up with AIDS.
I'll start killing the clients.....
Well, now I have to find another project to work on. Anyone have any suggestions? I'd prefer something usefull(like the aids project), otherwise I may have to join the "other team" and start up RC5-72 again.
