| Unnecessary Stats Threads
Just a suggestion, but wouldn't it be a better idea to consolidate all stats threads into a single thread, instead of spamming the DC forum?
For instance, starting a single [FAD] stats thread and editing it, instead of starting a new thread each day. Or possibly *gasp* provide a link so participants can check the stats themselves? |

wouldn't providing a thread to check the stats yourself cause more traffic to the DC servers thereby causing some unwanted traffic, or worse, the DC participants feel less obligated to participate at all for lack of "easy access support" from teammates.
i figured that the DC projects got their own forum because they were causing conjestion elsewhere. Personally the only threads i see being spit out on a nearly daily basis are for FaD and almost never ECC2.
I suppose you hold a point for there being 25 or so FAD threads there on the DC forum page.
not personally being the stats putter upper guy, i can't guess how easy/hard it is to get those stats, but i could imagine that editing those stats would be a blast... perhaps updates every other day, or once a week. but our team [FaD] is moving up the molecules like crazy, a once a week update would be showing huge leaps and bounds. |

I belive that us participating in the ECC2 project have all the stats pages bookmarked and check them when we want. So there's no need to post daily updates.
I can see the benifit of this forum is to talk about updates and or problems installing whichever client you deceide. Also some tweaks to get whatever you are running to go a little faster.
I'm with Willy I see no point to post an update every day.. Bookmark the stats page and look for yourself!!
Sorry for being so harsh but if you post about a milestone I'll look other than that keep it to yourself.
Jim
EDIT I don't mind when members post that they are joining a team it gives us an idea of what project that you deceided to run.

Also it has been quite quiet for us, since we were on a save 2nd spot. But since there is allot activity going on on the 3rd and the 4th place, we might be posting allot more.
Don't want to say the FAD guys/dolls should post less. But IMO a daily stats thread is a bit to much. ECC2 has several websites where we can watch the stats, even graphical ones. Its posted in one single thread and we use that one to post any comments on the stat. its can be found here: http://www.techimo.com/forum/t62881.html |

Oh, quit yer whinin'. It makes perfect sense to have daily stats threads. We want to discuss the recent exploits of members. It would be difficult to do this with a single thread. |

A simple reply to the original stats thread would bump it to the top and therefore get more attention.
I may have to start putting daily posts on how the ECC2 project is doing just to cut through all this clutter.
Like I said before if I want to view the stats I'll look on the corresponding stats page. There's no need to clutter this forum with needless updates. |

i dont run any of these programs and although its a great program(s), i think that when new threads are updated for these that they should not be put in the recent thread box at the top. imo it just gets in the way of other threads being put up there.

That's why the official stats pages were constructed to keep you updated on the stats.
And there is no need to you to say "Oh, quit yer whinin'" this is a serious topic here. We running ECC2 don't feel the need to post an update every day. We can go to the stats page and look for ourselves.
God maybe show some respect for others doing different DC's instead of judging us for a little suggestion made by willy_ph.
