[ECCP] StatsAholic server news
Due to the recent hard drive I/O problems. I have been working on getting my secondary server ready to replace the main server. I am practically done everything. I just want to take another day or two to go over everything and do some work on a caching ECCp proxy.
Since my other server is rebuilt from scratch. I am able to install what I needed for building a database caching proxy.
Here are my plans on how it will handle DPs.
All incoming DPs will be stored in the Cache table even if they are marked as duplicates. A record will be created in the Work Unit table, only if it's not marked as a duplicate.
You will be able to see how many of your own DPs are in the cache by going to your profile page. I may also add a per member option to store DPs in the cache for a later date.
A second script that will run every 30 minutes, depending on if the Notre Dame server is reachable. It will send any unsent DPs in the cache to the Notre Dame server. These DPs will be marked as sent and remain in the cache for 10 days.
If everything works right. I will probably release the web proxy scripts with a modified version of StatsAholic 1.3.2. StatsAholic 1.4.0 won't be done for another 2 months.

Fingers, actually I didn't double post because of the post's title. It wasn't submitting. It was sitting there for 5 minutes before I stopped it. Then I remembered that this post only applies to ECCP. So then I changed the title and tried reposting. It still was timing out (as far as I could tell). So I opened another browser window to see if it got through. Couldn't get to the site. It would appear that everything was getting to TechIMO, but nothing was coming back.

Cool. I'm looking forward to seeing the release of the ECCp web proxy/statsaholic.
