I can't hang. Been trying to serve two masters, FaD and UD. UD is my first love, and my UD output and team have not been getting my best effort. All my machines, but one, have had FaD taken out of the Startup folder. My daily UD results output has damn near doubled since I made that move, and I'm coming up on 4 million UD points rapidly.
While I enjoyed running up the ranks w FaD, and strongly believe in Cancer research, I've had to make a choice. You see the results of it. You guys are great, and I wish you the best. If the UD servers are down, FaD will be running on all machines, but for the most part I'll be making only a minor contribution from here on out.
Go get 'em!
Scott

Well done WoO!
Glad your UD output has increased nicely, Scott. Would hate to think those CPU cycles are going to waste after you shut down FAD.
Thanks for all your past crunching efforts here; hope we can entice you back more at some stage!
Crunch on, everyone!
Cheers

best of luck to your UD efforts, Scott.
i recently had to make a choice between UD and FAD and i went the other route. imo, i think the fad people have generally been much more receptive to the crunching community and i believe the FAD people are the real underdogs here.
UD's recent name change to Grid coupled with some new alliances have really brought a lot of new crunchers to their fold. as such, i felt the good people at fad really needed some grass-roots support. consequently, i've left ud on 2 cows and moved the rest to FAD.
the most important thing is to use those cpu cycles to find a cure. both UD and FAD are strong proponents of this endeavor.
see ya on the lists!

Thank you Zippy, I'm glad to see you aren't wasting the cycles, both are great causes.
Guess this means I'll be chasing a novice alone for a bit That's alright tho.
By the way some are climbing the stats, I'm gonna need a lead. |

Scott | I hear you Scott. I had to make the same choice recently between UD and FAD. You said it best, UD is my first love.
Good Luck! |

Hehe, WoO, the way PresterJohm, TMX and win2k are moving up the ranks, I don't think you'll be all alone for very long! And I'm going to make my very best effort to add two more systems to my herd of 1 (possibly bringing my total up to 5GHz), and if this one is any indication, I should finally be able to pull into the top 20 within the next few months.
Now, if I could only convince my boss to let me build him a new computer, along with the two friends who have come to me lately looking at getting a new system together, maybe they'll let me crunch FaD for TIMO on their machines...
Sorry to see you leave, Scott, but it sure has been nice watching you scream your way to the top. You definately gave me a goal output wise to shoot for. Best of luck to you on your UD efforts. Maybe when you're sitting comfortably at the top of UD stats, you'll come back to FaD and crunch some more for us? One can hope!

Congrats on 40 million mollies, WoO.
You guys are friggin' smoking!
On a personal note, I passed 4 million UD points, am at 4,040,000 or something like that. And coming up quickly on 18 years CPU time.
One of our team members, Tuffie, lost a longstanding battle with the big C, and we've started a subteam, in his name, so that his name lives on within our team. Some of us are diverting CPU power to Tuff's subteam, and I'm satisfied to say that Tuff has moved up about 55 places in a week within our team.
Anywhoo, back to you guys. Keep up the good work, you're doing a hell of a job!
Scott
PS-You guys touched me with your goodbyes. Thanks for the sentiments.
