By the looks of it, we will not win this battle and I've decided that a move to XPC ( www.xtremePCcentral.com ) will be in the very near future, I have requested changing the team name and links on the stats site, (team # comes with the team that made it) so no re-configuring of the clients is necessary.
What should you do? well, come over to xtremePC and register would be a great start, Harder has already checked with the necessary people over there and verified there will be no problems with our "way of doing things"
We will always be critisized for this,
This attitude is demonstrated here nicely. Quote:
Wouldn't we be competing with you then?
Wouldnt we be taking YOUR new members you so desperately seek?
What I would do (instead of trying hard to get people to join genome or ecc2, etc..) is to get people to go to TIMODC.com and let them read about the projects. If they are interested in any of them they should join. But I'm not going to push people (unless I know them) to join X or Y DC team!
Also, My "spirit and enthusiasm" are high enough I just don't want to show it!!
Good day sirs.!
| We'ld probably see much more of this in the future.
The request has been made, If it isn't possible then I will be moving to a new team as the attitude around here will not improve.
If you decide to stay with the team here, just create a new team and join it, your points and stats will come with you.

| If you opt to change sites, there seems to be little I can do to persaude you to stay. However, no team will again be subjected to such comments as have you have quoted as cross-team bashing will no longer be tolerated, regardless of a member's or teams's status at TechIMO.
I will offer the same reply as I did to others contacting me privately... Personally, I was not made aware of this situation until late tonight (approximately four hours ago), as none have ever contacted me regarding the issue until tonight. Had someone came forward, I would have actively worked to seek a more prompt resolution of the situation.
I believe a lack of communication was the key factor leading upto this situation, atleast from my personal perspective, as I was never notified of any problems or concerns related to the DC teams/forum. I try to keep track of forum events, but it becomes difficult when combined with news, public relations, and editorial responsibilities.
If you opt to transfer sites, you still have my best wishes , as I have tried to support the DC efforts since recently coming aboard as Editor-in-Chief at TechIMO. I will still continue to support DC efforts, and I would be glad to hear any comments or feedback on ways to improve the current DC situation at TechIMO.

Well put, and thank you Rob!
I hope things will improve in the way DC works here at TechIMO.

yeah, i think with our daily stats, and respect both ways between teams, we can stay here at TIMO. |

I can't see it, the tax on the mods is not worth it, there should not be a need to police the forum, it's obvious to me that this will continue to cause stress and hardships on the mods of the site.
I didn't switch to another team for one sole purpose, I did it to help both sites, It will help Timo to relax this forum a bit, and give everyone a chance to learn that not all teams are the same, and some teams are built on a different foundation. Ours was open communication. |

I think we need to slow down a bit on this topic. Right now, there's a lot of emotion. Personally, if we are going to switch let's wait until at least Monday and see how the weekend goes. I think this should give everyone time to calm down a little.
Here's what I think needs to happen:
- A poll listing all our options.
- A clear plan outlining any possible move, such as how the new team is created or renamed, what happens to the TIMO team, etc.
- A clear decision from the top (I guess that would be Scott) on how DC is going to be treated in the forums and on this site as a whole
The support already displayed by XPC is tempting but I think a rushed decision may cause further harm to the team. Let's just take our time through this big decision. |

i say the same. it is premature
what i said over at XPC--- Quote:
:-\ i am with presterjohn on this one
please, lets see if we can keep it at timo, on a hair, if something breaks it, then lets move.
i really think Rob tried to keep us there. we got our daily stats, and i think we should be grateful until we have reason otherwise.
i think it is premature, and borderline rude to leave right now. but i am with the team. if we all agree, then i am for it
