At this rate, I may be able to hold ya off another day or so, Idigguns! Not going to be long now, though. Had to power off my main rig today. My room was warm enough with this god-aweful heat. Maybe the two remotes I'm running will be able to bail me out, although I doubt it.
Congrats to all the 'stoners, and keep on crunchin! Next up: the [H]orde!
And Goood freakin lord david! WOW! I'm very impressed! What did you do to yourself?!"I was absolutely astounded that something like a Chee-to could become a pop icon," said Evans. "It's international. I've even seen it online on a Russian site."

Sheeeeeeeit....I'm thinking he had to get the plunger out to get that one down. lol.
Good job david...way to keep it interesting!

david pulls off a trump card not a damned ace! this makes it quite a bit more difficult for me to compete with
ahh well, ill hold on to my "big gun" for another run around. certainly no point in me cutting his lead in half if i have to wait, ill just make the little computers do all the work.
gah! i looked at my stashed queue and the dang thing released quite some time ago... grr, i bleed them off slowly for the most part but it looks like the dam broke
hmm, well i suppose it'll just be a matter of a few days before there are recruitments here
apparently my sources have told me there are about 25GHz ready to tap any day now, and ill probably be adding 2GHz per day for a month, so my numbers will slowly gain some steam... a gentle curve up, maybe we can match XPC or pass them once i get these things recruited.
time is of the essence my friends and i seem to be short on essence...

hmmm looks like the big cruncher of mine tied into some 1ea1's
brand spankin new methodology... looks to be moderately fast, about 6 hours a piece or so on my 3500+
y'know i could OC this baby to 3700+ and get away with it
hmmmmmmmmmmm

Well, I don't know what to say!!!

That had to have been my 2500+ remote in KC at my Aunt's house... There's no way that one of my machines had THAT many in queue with out me uploading it. I normally will just let it upload by itself, and normally just have 6 or 7 in queue.
But WOW!!
That's not the ace I was talking about, but wasn't that great timing?!?!?!?
That's great to hear about your hopefull future additions!! That'd be awesome if you could get the whole 100Ghz...
But one step at a time. I've got two or three comps that aren't running right now due to my laziness in wanting to fix them, but I think I need to get them going and I have some time today...
Wish me luck!
Congrats to all the 'stoners!!
Keep 'em crunching!!
David
[B]EDIT: Just caught this... The 'laxative award'!!!
That's a good one...

Good job, friend-of-friends!

Ohh.. I forgot... I added another 1.1Ghz duron to my herd Sunday.
Now maybe update a few CPUs on some of my slower machines. Wish my budget could stand a few 2600+ XPs. Oh well, I might have something small to add soon anyway. My biggest problem is that I'm limited to 8 machines total, I have 2 4 port KVMs all filled up, BUT, I might just pull the other two machines from ECC2 and add em to my FAD herd.
I do have a 2 port KVM not in use.... HMMMM.... and another spare monitor around here someplace....
-
September 23rd, 2003, 06:57 PM #16
Hey, Max_Con... You don't need a KVM switch to be able to use a computer, have you ever heard of VNC??
It's a great little program that lers you connect to, and use a computer, from across the room, to across the globe. The only two wires you have to have plugged into your machines are a power cord, and a network cable. You can use just one machine to connect to limitless numbers of machines, regardless of the OS on ANY of them. Try it out, I'm sure you'll be amazed!
I'm using VNC on all the computers here, and I can do just about anything on any of them without moving from my chair at my main box.

I've Dl'ed VNC but won't have time untill the weekend to look at it. If this works, I've a 4 port NIC that would even allow me to hook up some more PCs. NOW to also find time to build a rack and condense my herd.

alright, i take back what i said about the complexity of the 1ea1's, they're very very fast, about 1 hour a piece on my machine, that one that i had earlier just hit 100% from 13%..
i also have one that got some hits, so far its 1.1% and 45 hits, and i have 2 of them
-
September 23rd, 2003, 08:03 PM #19
DPA: Great to hear that! You might not take long after all to catch up to me...

I think I have some of those mollies on one of my boxes, so I'll see how they go...
Max_Con: If you need any help at all with VNC, don't hesitate to PM or EMail me about installing/setting it up.

Way to go, Idigguns! I never had a chance to hold you off! And you newer members are really impressing all of us! Keep up all the great work everyone, we're slowly but surely building our momentum to the levels we had before, with all the old members. Can't keep us down for long, eh?
Big cheers to EVERYONE who's contributed to our success as a team!
Let's see if I can't pick up the pace a little bit..."I was absolutely astounded that something like a Chee-to could become a pop icon," said Evans. "It's international. I've even seen it online on a Russian site."

Are these really "micro-pigs"? I don't doubt anything these days. But, full grown hogs around here are 500 pounds. Lot's O Bacon! I buy only thick sliced because I love bacon. I cut fresh lettuce out...
