WOW...I just saw this.... Got to say Welcome to XPC Bitspit... And I'm glad to see both teams are interested in the true meaning behind FAD and that is the search for cures...It's a very noble cause and is the reason I'm going to cut back in my RC5 and move the majority over to FAD...RC5 just doesnt have as meaningful a goal to me anymore....

Anyways...Welcome Bitspit and Everyone is welcome to visit XPC anytime they wish too!

when i look at the stats threads here, i see the same 3-4 posters & pretty much the same things are said. tony_j15 will give out the Dump awards and everyone will give out their congrats.

then everybody 'goes home' after that and you all do it again the next day. but i don't see a lot of interaction between team members and i don't see too many people here at one time just hanging out.

i think that's what BitSpit saw and what you're seeing now Gouki.

Guess I'll address the TC issue for a moment. Right after the team split, ScottW and I had some private communications. It was agreed that the official ownership of the team number would be transferred to ScottW to prevent the team name from being changed. I thought it was a good idea and requested the transfer. I was more interested in damage control at that time.

I'll still be around here to help out. I just needed to go somewhere else. Between work (I'm there about 60 hours/week) and the long periods of silence here, I just wasn't enjoying FaD much. I believe in FaD and needed to do what would allow me to enjoy it again. For me, that required a team change.

No thread that I know of, bigfoot. It just has been noticed by a few folk. Dunno if Scott even discussed it with BitSpit, but that's their business, not mine.

As WoO said, it was mainly about team ownership and the TechIMO branding. As far as FAD is concerned, the team is controlled by the registered team owner. When WoO initially moved the 2037 team to XPC, that's could have been when Scott decided to take over ownership, to ensure it couldn't happen again.

BitSpit was the real Team Captain here, though, as you can't really be considered a TC just because you are the registered owner. The TC is what keeps the team alive - and that's what BitSpit has been doing over here.

Cheers
Mick

edit: Looks like BitSpit has cleared it up some...

There are no hard feelings between XPC and TechIMO, and i don't see why there should be either.

TechIMO has a different policy, that doesn't make this site bad, but it makes it different. However this policy doesn't seemed to work very great with the DC projects here on TechIMO.

I wouldn't mind seeing the people from this team move over to XPC because that certainly would make XPC the best crunching team again, and would get the number 1 spot right away.

But it's all upto each of you, if you prefer to crunch under the TechIMO name then do so, because it doesn't matter with which team you are, because in the end we all do this together to help to find cures.

If you would prefer to crunch in team XPC then go ahead and do so, you are all welcome, and don't think of it as you are turning your back on TechIMO, because as long you still visit this site then it really doesn't change much.

So do what you feel is right, and keep on the crunching.

Btw PJ, NDC is a Admin, not a mod.

Also both Mntsnow and NDC have been part of the staff on sysopt and TechIMO, however they decided to work on XPC and left here as staff members, but i don't think they will ever leave though.
And XPC and TechIMO are also affiliates of each other.
