Unable to access bios

I am attempting to enter the bios and am unable to ascertain what the hot key is due to a rediculous splash page that I can only disable if I get into the bios.

I have a DFI Lanparty Nf4 ultra-d mother board

I have tried

ctrl-alt-s
ctrl-alt-ins
cntrl-alt-esc
esc
del
f1
f2

None will work

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

btw also RTM and conveniently there is no mention of how to access the bios only how to set up overclocking when you are in.

Hi!

There's a little issue that's driving me crazy...

I have an ASUS P7P55D-LE motherboard with and 8-pin EATX12V connector that the user's manual urges me to power plug (it states that if not the system won't boot)

On the other hand, i have a Coolermaster Extreme Power Plus 600w which has a 20-pin + 4-pin (both already connected to the motherboard) and two 4-pin connectors...

Am I suppose to connect those two 4-pin into the 8-pin EATX12V ?

I know it's a stupid question, but it's my first time building a pc and i want to make sure :$

Thanks in advanced!

Asus P5Q P45: an option to unlock the 1:1 fsb:dram ratio?

Hey just wondering if the standard P5Q has an option to unlock the FSB:Dram ratio? I'm not sure how to post a screenshot of the bios from outside of the operating system but my problem lies within Overclocking my stock fsb to a higher value without overclocking my ram to a frequency it isn't stable as.

I'm running a E8400 C2D stock 3ghz stepping A, Revsion E0

Trying to get it to 4ghz stable. Highest I've got it is 3.8 with 9x and 425fsb which with the 1:1 ratio set my ram at 850mhz. Using 1.25 cpu volts. Tryed 1.3-1.4 volts to get 4.0ghz with 445fsb but that sets my ram at 890mhz and it auto crashes.

My guess is the problem lies within my 800mhz 2x2gb ddr2 Kingston value ram not wanting to be overclocked and or maybe not increasing the volts for it. I think it's set on auto because I never touched it only the cpu volt which I set to 1.25.

Under all the bios settings though I can't find a way to change the ratio or just set the dram frequency to be 800mhz. It's directly based off the fsb (of course because the ratio is 1:1 reported by cpuz not exactly the bios) but when I change the northbridge fsb strap the lowest I can get from any of those timings is 850mhz with like 400fsb on the northbridge instead of auto which results in 851mhz being my lowest setting possible. If I have no way of changing this the only way I can realisitcally get a higher processor speed from OC'ing is to get 1066mhz stock ram is what I'm guessing (if indeed the problem is a result of the ram not being able to be overclocked to 890mhz).

Anyone got any good insight on this motherboard and if there is a way to enable more settings? I have the latest bios v2102

MSI KM4M-V Motherboard - SATA HDD

Problem I have is I have just bought a Hitachi Deskstar 500GB SATA drive, and was hoping to install it onto MSI KM4M-V M/B. M/B has 2 SATA connections and VAI SATA RAID bios setting utility ver 4.5 installed, but the Bios does not find the SATA drive, untilty saying No Drive detected. I have looked on various sites, and there was a suggestion that shorting the jumpers on the front of the drive would bring the spec down to SATA1. I have tried with and without shorting these jumpers, but the bios utility does not pick the drive up. I have tried installing WinXP directly onto drive, trying to install a 3rd parting SCSI/RAID driver during the setup, but when XP tries to install it says that no drive is installed.

I have been throught the Bios and the OnChip SATA is enabled, SCSI is not showing on any of the options.

I think I have just bought too high a spec. SATA HDD for the motherboard?

Has anyone any other ideas?

Cheers in anticipation.

After a problem with my old system, I upgraded but am stumped with this problem

Got the Motherboard on the bench, it's a Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3
Using an AMD PHENOM X4 QUAD-CORE 9650 2300MHZ 4MB 95W AM2
With GeForce 9600GT, 1GB, HDCP, HDTV, PALIT Graphics card
And 1 stick of 2GB Crsair Memory

Powers up as soon as I switch on PSU without the power switch involved

Now, Iv'e tried everything I can think of -
Different PSU
Different Proccessor
Different Memory, Different memory bay
Different Graphics Card
No power switch connected

Have made sure nothings shorting out and the board looks physically fine, but I'm sure I came across this problem years ago on another build.

Any Ideas ?

Thanks,
Stephen

Hi, I just built a new setup with the ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO mobo. Im using an AMD Phenom II X3 720 cpu, 2 x CORSAIR XMS3 2gb 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800), and a CORSAIR CMPSU-450VX 450W ATX12V power supply. This is my first build, so i have no idea whats going on, but when i turn on the PSU and then the computer, the fans (CPU fan connected to mobo and case fans connected directly to PSU and not mobo) turn on, but my monitor doesnt show anything. the mobo power light is on. so far ive tried resetting the CMOS and taking out and reinserting the ram(one stick at a time) but nothing seems to be doing much. no beeping either. any ideas?
