Internet on PS3

Alright, I don't know if this is the right spot or not, but I have a question. I just got a PS3 a couple of weeks ago. Now, I am trying to connect to the internet on it, but I don't have a desktop computer or a modem or anything like that. All I have is a laptop and a Sprint mobile broadband to get on the internet on the laptop. I also have a Linksys wireless router and a Cat5 cable. Is there anyway possible that I can connect to the internet on my PS3 with this. I have tried looking it up online, but am not having very much luck. Can someone please help me.

From Ars Technica (http://arstechnica.com/business/news/2009/11/intel-and-amd-bury-the-hatchet-under-125-billion-in-cash.ars):

---Quote---
AMD and Intel have agreed to settle all legal and patent disputes between them. Intel will pay AMD $1.25 billion and agrees to change certain unspecified business practices.
---End Quote---
Can you say, "back in the saddle?" ... This is going to be the infusion of cash that AMD needs to really get things back on track. I was worried it was getting grim enough that they may need to sell of part of its business ... ohh wait i think they did that already ...

Intel SSD Firmware Update Speeds Performance

A newly released firmware update for Intel's second-generation X25-M solid state drive is said to increase sequential data write performance by up to 40%.

---Quote---
We flashed one of our Intel 34nm Gen 2 X25-M 160GB SSDs with the new firmware and ran a handful of tests under Windows 7 to see what kind of affect it had on performance. Details of the update process and optimization tool are posted on the next page, followed by some before and after benchmarks.

New Processor Will Feature 100 Cores | Gadget Lab | Wired.com (http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2009/10/tilera-100-cores/)

I want one.

---Quote---
Forget dual-core and quad-core processors: A semiconductor company promises to pack 100 cores into a processor that can be used in applications that require hefty computing punch, like video conferencing, wireless base stations and networking. By comparison, Intel’s latest chips are expected to *have just eight cores*.
---End Quote---
Geeze... why waste your money on Intel's measly eight cores?

Was just surfing EE Times, wanted to post this in the news section but the submit news link seems to be hosed.....

EETimes.com - Industry hit with memory failures, 'techno-stress' (http://www.eetimes.com/news/latest/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=220900419)

That link is to a recent discussion of DRAM and NAND types that have been stated as failing inordinately (and with few manufacturer names given).

The article quotes G. Dan Hutcheson, president of VLSI Research Inc.: "The reason for the memory failures is that OEMs, test houses and chip makers have cut back--or taken shortcuts--on the memory test process in an effort to cut costs,..."

Hit the link for more, but don't expect too much. The referenced study seems to reference years old articles, so this might be crying wolf.
