America's Army: Rise of a Soldier (Xbox) Review
Saying that first-person shooters were the dominant trend of Microsoft’s little jewel of a gaming console, is a pretty obvious statement. From day one, this style of gaming has been on the forefront of most Xbox-ers mind in one way or another, whether it be in the form of blasting away at alien life forms in Halo, entering the trenches of World War II for the nineteenth thousand time in Call of Duty, or exploring a creepy horror filled world in Call of Ctulhu, this genre lends itself to all styles of games. One such area that saw its share fair of titles, is that of the first-person tactical shooter. Taking a step back from all out action, and tossing some strategic elements into the gameplay, this “realistic” approach to warfare has seen its share of time on the Xbox. But, have any past titles been deemed the “Official game of the United States Army?” Until this point, no, but developer Secret Level, along with Ubisoft and the United States Army, have brought the once PC only series, America’s Army, to the Xbox with America’s Army: Rise of a Soldier. Sadly, this game isn’t free like the PC original, but what do you expect? Soldiers have to eat too.

4GB is about the minimum you want for good performance. I kicked up to 8 and I noticed the difference. Especially in games.
