Hopefully it doesn't suck like Crysis does. The video looks quite promising though.

I want it, deffinitely time for my new build to get under way =).
I doubt an x300 is gonna cut it any more.

so, we've got the first crytek engine, which, while beautiful, will probably show some age and a plot ripped straight from STALKER or GTA. Sounds really original...can't wait to play it.
Good job, friend-of-friends!

Well like most games that use older graphics engines, Far Cry 2 will probably have updated the crytek engine. If you watch some other vids about the game you'll see that this game is realy original.

original in the sense not too many titles feature vast african wilderness? granted. A compelling original storyline? doubt it! it's a sandbox shooter!
of course, I will be happy when proven wrong, but in the mean time, forgive me for being utterly jaded.Good job, friend-of-friends!

Exactly. Fifty square kilometers of terrain, and you can do whatever you want in it...awesome. Okay, you have to kill the Jackal...but you get to do it, and play the game pretty much in your own way...sort of like the original Far Cry...without the Trigens of course.

FPS it would be boring if you can't find the person to kill
I'm pretty jaded against FPS in general, every game is nearly the same thing.
So now they're to the point that the only thing that really seperates each one is prettier graphics.
Then you get games like Crysis that are all pretty and no game.

Far Cry 2 is not being developed by Crytek. It is built atop Ubisoft's own Dunia game engine, with only a few percent of recycled code from CryENGINE.

I'm pretty sure it's called the cryengine or something. But not positive. And i dont know about everyone else but i dont exactly think about the storyline of a game as im playing it. Having an original setting and gameplay is more than enough for me.

would be nice, but honestly what good is it? Its not like the phones have much surface area to spread that heat out over to heatsink fins or material, and the heatpipes would have to be nearly paper...
