They opened up the PC beta for everyone. All you have to do is go to Callofduty.com, and register. They will give you a Beta Key. Download the beta, and enjoy!

Will I even be able to play it with my X800XT?

IDK Nunya. I think the lack of SM 3.0 may not allow for it.
But I really don't know.Q6600@4Ghz | i7 920@4.4Ghz |E6320@3.5Ghz

ah, god damn it, I go to register activate the account & then try clicking the links to access the info on the beta & what not & it just sits there & times out... seriously I wish these companies could do one of two things either make DAMN sure their sites & servers can handle the expected traffic & upgrade them as necessary for these supposed beta releases & what not, when they know damn well their going to get hit with a crap load of traffic... or don't even bother with it, & let other sites like Fileplanet & Gamershell & others deal with the beta key & download stuff altogether... but even with that said, Fileplanet is just about as bad...
anyways, will just have to wait till later & hope they don't decide to close the beta key option thing down in mean time, as these things are usually for a limited time...

Anybody play this yet?
Really cool game. Lots of gore.
But game play seems a lot like COD:4. I like the little extras they put in. Dogs barking, the guys actually talking to you.
Good times!

Played for about 20 mins or so and shut it off. It's alright, but definitely much more taxing. On some levels I was barely pulling 30fps at the same settings as I ran CoD:4 and was getting 45-50fps. But the thing is, the game doesn't look any better, in fact I'd say it might look on the worse side in comparison. However, it is only a beta so I'll hold off on my final opinion.
It definitely does feel like a mod of CoD:4 though...seems more like it should have been released as an expansion pack not a whole new game

How long did you have to wait for the key? Do you have to do anything besides just making an account?

I had to wait a day for my key, but I was getting it the day they opened up the beta. I know their servers were getting slammed.
I know mervteck got his key in like 2 mins.
And I agree, the game is more taxing. I was playing on a dual 8800gt setup(non sli) , and I was barely pulling 40 FPS in some maps. Others, I was hitting 60 FPS. (v-sync on)
I still think it's a fun game though.

It works. Though I have to say that I am thoroughly unimpressed with the game. It's just a mod of cod 4. The gameplay is near identical. Graphics aren't much better except for the body parts which are kind of cool. Wouldn't pay for this one though (maybe $20 as an add-on).

just shop the clearance end caps at your nearest Target or something in a few months after the game is released, can almost guarantee it'll probably be sitting there for anywhere from $5 to $15...
usually thats how I pick up several of my games in the last couple years.
