As expected, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was made official at the Game Developers Conference this week. Not a lot is known about the sequel at this point, but the teaser trailer leaves some hints and dates the game for a November release.

CoD: WaW is like GTA vice city both use the same engine as the predecessor and changes when they realease a true sequal. I.E CoD 5 - GTA4

they are really just rebadged expansion packs

Hi, I recently bought call of duty modern warfare 2 for ps3. I have had my 60gb system for 2 years now, and I have some terrible problems when I am playing cod. About 5 mins into gameplay on campagin mode, the playstation instantly shuts down. This has happened on other games like Resistance 2, and Grand tourismo prolouge. Also, On the mode "Special ops" on call of duty, there is a mission that I can play without the system shutting down, although half of the guns do not show in my hands, and the npc have no heads .

I am reseting my whole system right now. If anyone has any solutions, or similar issuses, please let me know. thanks guys.

Well for starters why the heck did you post this in a completely unrelated thread, rather than start your own, or even at the least post in one of the other, teetering on countless, MW2 threads with people having issues, even if their PC related problems, at least they have MW2 and issues with the game in common, rather than posting in thread about the games trailer, release date, etc, from 7 months ago?

do a search for the other MW2 problem threads if you don't know how to start a thread, or are too lazy to do so. otherwise start a new thread with the problems at hand Please.

sorry you are having troubles. I'm not sure there's a lot we can do for you though. If you are having problems with multiple games it suggests to me that your console could be defective in some way. Let us know if the reset works.

would be just nice to put all the MW2 issue threads and posts in one area, so we don't have to wander all over the forums to answer these things, is why I said what I said, runs along the same lines as people making multiple posts/threads on the same topic, put it all in one area, or at least related threads to make finding answers easier, or for the people posting to find answers themselves.

Sorry ShyGuy I'm only new to this website, and I didn't have much indercation of what to do, But thank you anyway. And it took about 3 and a half hours to reset the console, and then I started playing cod mf2, and it was working reallly good for about 15 mins, then it happened again I'm not sure if it is just the 60gb system, because They don't make them anymore. So ill probably buy a new one, preferably 120gb.

I'm guessing the warranty is expired on your current ps3? Otherwise, a call to tech support is in order!
