Rumored Microsoft 3D Wii killer: we think we played with it

Microsoft is dealing with its own E3 rumors, including a new product that will bring motion-sensing controls to the 360 without a handheld peripheral. We saw the exact same technology at CES 2008. Better yet, Microsoft has been in talks to buy the company in question. Ars explores what could be the next big thing in gaming.

If this is true ... well ... Every game console in the future is a Microsoft console comes to mind. Why bother with BlueRay when you can take the trivial nature of Wii and bring it to HD!?

I know i will be lining up for one if its all they say it is.

To be honest swinging around a control gets really old every time I play the wii. If i want to go and play tennis or baseball. Ill go outsite.

This gets you one step closer as it wont require a controller but your actual body movements. For some reason, maybe the Star Trek movie coming out friday, I see this is a very big step forward in terms of interactive media. Holo world anyone?

I was thinking the same thing nemo. You always see the people "in the future" in movies who just use their hand in the air to look something up or turn music on.... That day may be soon...

hmm... I might just have to get this and use a couple of projectors to build my own holodeck...
