From Ars Technica: Quote: |
A new job posting suggests that Microsoft is looking to create a gaming platform that goes beyond just the Xbox 360. Way beyond.

cool, so will we be able to have the privilege of witnessing the Red Ring of Death on our Cell Phones too?
sorry, had joke about it.
Sounds interesting, but Doesn't sound like its going to be a Mobile "gaming" platform, more like a way to keep in touch with people, and stats and some of the basic games found on Live, etc... as they mention a Social Platform, for the Xbox community I suspect.
more like an extension of the Live! network/community if anything, with some perks/mini games, etc.
unless they plan on making a 360 equivalent of the PSP (god help us if they did, you'd need to carry around one of the Ghostbusters Proton Packs or Charged Particle Accelerator Packs LOL, sorry, another stab at the 360 and its Heating/power consumption )

Many of the games on the PSP feature Ad Hoc networking to allow for multiplayer and the next evolution may be that with WiFi being more common now, that you can use your Live account to send out requests for PSP games. In addition the mobile messaging feature would be nifty as well. |
