WoW and Battle.net account merging now mandatory
From Ars Technica:
Blizzard is giving World of Warcraft players one month to merge their accounts with Battle.net, after which point non-Battle.net accounts will no longer be able to log into the game.

hmm
I haven't logged into b.net for MANY years... I wouldn't have a clue how to log into my account if it even existsHelicopters don't fly; they vibrate so much and make so much noise that the earth rejects them.

You just go there and go to the merge thing. It'll ask you for your wow login and your e-mail address. Takes about two seconds. I had to merge mine to sign up for the SCII beta opt-in.

I merged mine back months ago when you could get a free battlebot for your toons. I believe you can still merge the account by going to worldofwarcraft.com. I can't remember though as I quit playing wow a couple months ago.

I don't know about that. WoW makes them so much money they'd be stupid to ignore it. Someday it won't be #1, but that day will be a while from now.

I have a feeling they are taking a page from SOE and by merging all their games under one account they can offer you a "discount" on upgrading your account from one to multiple games. How much time you spend on each doesnt matter since if you only played one game it would be the same essential cost, why not make it a "better" value and get more money out of you so you can switch between games freely.

makes sense. allows them to offer things a-la-carte similar to Steam.
Good job, friend-of-friends!

less accounts to memorize, less passwords to write down on your monitor with a postit
overall better security for them if they can have a singletgateway system to access all services.
multiple users systems = multiple gateways.Helicopters don't fly; they vibrate so much and make so much noise that the earth rejects them.

Well, I'd much rather buy digitally than have to go the store, but Blizzard seems to have this thing about giving the B&Ms a week ahead of them. Lame!

I hadn't thought of steam in the process ... that would be an interesting development if they managed to make one bootloader/updater for all their games ala who ever makes DDO and i think Lord of the Rings.
Personally, although i dont play anymore and only the idea of playing a wolfen even comes close to drawing me back in ... It would be interesting to see how they pull off two massive releases and incorporate all their new titles into B.net.

Or, you can just hope a cop spots a thief in the act of stealing your bike. IOW, let them steal all the bikes they want because cops are busy doing other things and your bike is hardly on the top...
Do you think this was a legitimate...
