Let's talk about sex... in video games
From Ars Technica:
No one seems capable of remaining neutral about the topic of sex in video games, but it's not exactly clear why that is. Ars investigates.

Being neutral about it is difficult - most people who play the games either condone it or don't see a major issue OR on the flip side they have children and are concerned about the impact on them.
I think it's pathetic, however I'm not surprised - everything goes from bad to worse from a moral stand point. Plus, the majority of video games are purchased and played my males - sex sells. The video games should be rated better though, and games for children shouldn't have the sexual overtones. That won't happen, because they're being taught from a young age that that is what is entertaining and their parents are being desensitized as well.Last edited by TrendyMartini; November 30th, 2009 at 04:47 PM.

I am looking at this with a different light ... btw thank you for joining us on the video games news side trendy, good to see you outside of Misery.
Most guys who play video games and want/enjoy the sexual nature of games are typically ones that dont get any action from women. Replaces the real thing. Ala, the japanese guy who married his nintendo DS relationship sim character in real life. (no link sorry)
Guys who get the real thing or have the social skills to hit up strip clubs and titty bars dont care enough because they can get the real thing. Its not something they need or beg for in the game but its meh if its there. I fall under this category and frankly, the idea of having sex in a game is so overated at this stage in my life that if i wanted a cheap thrill i would just look on the internet for free prons.
