HL wrong blood color!

ok i downloaded Steam, gave my cd key, downloaded Half Life but the blood is still green-yellow, how can i change that?? it's terrible to play this way

steam is already in english and HL of course too, but what do i have to change?

I had a Very bad experience with steam and the newest version of Counterstrike, so I gave it up and bought the xbox version. Better graphics and no cheaters and hacks...yet

Do you have the parental controls set on it. Try going into the game and unchecking any boxes that have to do with violence.
btw what do you mean by "still" green-yellow.

well it didn't exactly ruin it but I ahd to reinstall so many times and now that I installed Battlefield it doesn't want to work and gives me an illegal operation error.

Steam is Valve's version of GameSpy arcade. As a weekend game admin, I am sticking with WON until the bitter end, or until Valve sees the light that WON had it right in the first place.

I have both Steam- and WON-authenticated HL on my gaming PC. Once you realize what Steam does, the ability to get both working on one machine is simple. The trick is NOT to get rid of the existing HL installation during the Steam install process.

and right now steam works, i dont like the idea how it works or what it does, but it's way better than gamespy! really!
