RTCW cheats, how to enable?

nope that isn't it either.. just for chance I went back in and tried it again.. so it must be something in the game that is on some type of timed thing? as I had no porblem using cheats before.. and in fact.. on my old save games they still work.. and still activate..

Edit:I even tried setting my date back to see if this was the case.. the only thing that has changed between last time I played the game.. and now is I reinstalled my OS.. and didn't reinstall the game..

Don't think it's a timed thing. I tried to activate cheats right after I installed it the first time.

I read somewhere that some people had to save and load a game for it to work but even this didn't work for me. Could you try to save a new game then load it and see if it works ?

Nope didn't work.. I even beat the first level to check that out.. I didn't try quick save thouhg as that would have over writen my current save point.. maybe try that?

Well, i started cheating after i finished it the straight way once ..

Then i decided to go back and have fun blasting all the bad guys trying all kind of weapons available ..

I use to play without cheats a long time ago when I had say about 6 hours a day to sit down and play the game. Beat all the Dooms, first 2 quakes, and aslew of other FPS, and 3rd person games this way.. plus the puzzle games that use to be out.. so =P I've done my share of fair playing.. and none were set on easy.. i've just gone down hill since old Doom days.. haven't played a game as well as I use to play that one haha

btw still nothing new on the game.. if there still no word.. I'll try reinstalling it 2mro.. but as I rememebr I played the game only about 2 weeks ago after my OS reinstall.. and the cheats worked then right from the start.. the first time I went through the game I didn't put on cheats till the labs with the no leg thing.. so I have no idea why now it has stopped accepting cheats.. unless it has some tpe of spy ware that auto downloads some patch to stop new games from doing this now..

Well, I just uninstalled then reinstalled the game and still no joy.

With your edited icon start game..

select play game and choose how hard you want your game play..

ass soon as you start playing save the game and the quit out of the whole game.

Go back into the game, load save file.

hit ~ on you key board

/god
/give all
/notarget
ect ect ect...

The files you sent me worked.

At this point I don't know why but I'll investigate later today and see if I can determine why.

I do know at this point that it will only work when you load a saved game as Scavenger has pointed out.
