PS2 online gaming.

Um...I got my PS2 about 3 weeks ago, and I was just wondering, do you have to pay to have an online account like you have to with Xbox live? With the "Gamer Tag"? Um...just post yes, and if so, you know...the price and etc....or whatever. Thank you.

yes you do.......for ps2 its free but xbox live requires money for the boys at redmond

If you get the xbox live kit it runs $69.99 comes with mech assault, the headset and 1 year, check your local gamestop, they might have just the subscription card for $40. Also you can pick up a used ps2 net. adapter for $20. As far as paying to play online, all games on xbox except phantasy star are free once you get the subscription to live. As for ps2 you have to pay a monthly fee for FFXI and everquest, but there are 30 and 90 day sub. cards for 'quest.

Well dude forget online.... if you are an rpg gamer..... get FFX, Xenosaga.... this will eat a lot of your playing time...

Plataformer Ratchet and Clank..... Devil may Cry, Ohnimusha series..... you have a lot offline content to be happy for quite some time.

Actually looks like you have FFX.... you have Auron has your avatar....

Indeed, I beat FFX, beat Devil May Cry series, beat Onimusha 1 (want two nd three) currently playing Xenosaga, beat Silent Hill 3, and soon to get FFX-2 from my girlfriend. So yeah...I mean, there is alot of offline content, I know, but I want FFXI, lol.

Im playing FFX-2 now...... Its good but no as good as the first one, altought the ATB system make battles blazing fast paired with the job system makes quick ass gameplay....

Yeah, I've playied it, it's fun. But it takes alot out from how FF should be. All the minigames are quite frustrating. Other than that it is fun.

Xenosaga, at first it was horrible, I lost intrest at the tutorial, but then I forced myself to play farther and I actually came to like it, and am highly enjoying it at the moment.

well xenosaga has a high learning curve at the beggining, that its a little frustating knowing the different attacks from the characters, but after you get the hang of it, you are rewarded with a very good gameplay and an excellet story...... damn those movies are long...... also some minigames are fun!!

Sadly, I've only playied the demo, but what I did play was amazing, I asked my friend if he had it but his cousin has it in Ohio, so yeah...I'll probably rent it or buy it someday...if I can find it.

Nice, I should check into that...another game I want to get...of the subject a bit, but Sonic the Hedgehog 3, with the Sonic & Knuckles double cartrige game....I miss that game soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much.
