has anyone played this game and is it any good. it's a little late as i just ordered a copy, but did i waste my money? are the controls easy, reasonable, or hard to use?
and what about starlancer, the older game in the series?

that game BLOWS! I think I played a demo and its one of the worst games ever!
I wouldn't go with older games, because you won't like the graphics....

I bought it... it's alright. Not the best game in the world. Controls seemed fine.
Starlancer? I had that on Dreamcast, it's an OK game.

well i saw a quick glimpse on tv, and the graphics looked acceptable to me. i was thinking more of the gameplay. are there masses of missions, for example, or are all the missions the same with only a few descriptions differing? | |

I'm not sure, because I hated the game and I couldn't stand it, so I quit after a few minutes of gameplay  | |

To be honest... I did about 3 missions and stopped playing when I died (don't buy a cargo ship and then do bounty hunter missions). Graphics were good.
The missions seemed to be the "find this and destroy it" or "escort this convoy" type... | |

it isn't that bad.. to make money fast just find places to buy cheap, and sale high.. and locate your shortcuts off the main routs..
It has a ok story.. so it is worth the play..

actully i liked that game ( i like those kinds of games.) lots to do, things to see, stuff to blow up! many hours of fun. also if you have a fast internet you can play online. | |

Online is fun (if you can find a server with a bunch of people on it). There's mods out there which let you fly the big ships. I dont know whats been going on with it all though I haven't played it in awhile. | |
