fable rating?

Ok, my roommate's parents wanna buy his little brother an xbox game. the little brother thinks Fable sounds awersome. The parents are worried about the M rating. should they be? what gives it an M rating; language? violence? any help is appriciated

The fact that your randomy go out and kill stuff... its not really a gorey game by any means like Doom III though.

Uhm you can lop heads off at a whim, you can kill anyone in the game, including your wife or wives for that matter. Its a great game though, really short, about 20 hours total.

what would you say would be the youngest kid you would let play (given he is a video game fan and player)? The person in question is 13.

For a 13 year old fable would probably be a pretty good game, you can be good or evil, the decision is yours so its not such a bad game, it is pretty short but other than that its a game worth looking into.

It read some articles before the release, didnt expected to be a short game tought... could be im used to FF games of 60 hours to complete...

I played this over a friends house... I think its for no younger then 13. From parts I saw my friend in I could see some M moments but nothing much.
