PC Gamer got the first full game play test and review. Its a 9 page article, but the last page is the most important: Final Verdict
FTR, PCG gave Doom 3 a 94%.

i've been checking around and there seems to be a concensus on november 1st (compusa, ebgames, gamestop, walmart). Amazon was the only black sheep i found with a november 16th release date. Doesn't necessarily mean anything, but there is more consolidation between these sites than i've seen in the past. I am skeptical of an 11/1 release, but november seems very likely.

IMO i think valve will hold it back another month for CHRISTMASS season so i dont think november first is accurate even though thats on the website they said it would be september first and that didnt happen either
