Warcraft III Beta CD's have been shipped! - Tech Support Forums

I registered for beta test with www.blizzard.com to hopefully get my hands on Warcraft III. I got a call from a freind today who I had told about the beta test. He has never played any game from Blizzard but i figured i could increase my chances of seeing the beta if i wasnt picked and had him register also. Turns out, He was picked and i wasnt! He received his beta cd earlier today but couldnt open it cuz he was on his way out the door to go to work. Anyone who has registered for Warcraft III Beta Test should check their email for confirmation. No email = you were not selected

I will check it out this weekend and give what details i can if any(legally)heh!

. They had so many interested people though that acceptance was a long shot anyways I guess.

good news! the game looks great and i have taken a few screenshots. I'll submit them to Scott later today. I was reading the beta test license agreement and dont know if its legal to post them or not. im sure if "they" were to see them, "they" would probably just say to take them down from the site, if it was illegal to post them. maybe im making this a bigger deal than it is but i'd rather be safe than sorry.

They should have a Nondisclosure in the License somewhere if it was an issue. The last beta test I did had them plastered everywhere. You might want to shoot someone at Blizzard an inquiry.

i looked every where in the past 2 months on there site for the beta but did not see anything about it, how did you sign up?

As far I know it's ok by Blizzard. When the Diablo 2 LOD beta was out there were screenshots out like mad. User screenshots as well as Blizzard screenshots. Every site had them and AFAIK there were never any requests to take them down.

I think that letting screenshots up is in Blizzards favor. When the LOD Beta was out boy did those screenshots get my blood a pumping. I remember logging on everyday just hoping screenshot of new areas / bosses / items were up and then drooling over them

All in all I think that it put a lot more anticipation into the game.
