PS2 HDD format - Tech Support Forums

Ok guy si got one for you, i need some help on a friends ps2 HDD. He got a 120 GIG Maxtor ATA, and is trying to run it on his ps2. I got it at my house for tonight so a quick response would be greatly appreciated. We got Winhiip. but it wont read the HDD. The first time i booted with the drive installed, it said it was a 122 gig in bios, but now it just says its a 32 gig. I have tried plugging it into the ata plugs, and the ide but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure that the second jumper is set to more than 32GB, I used to have the same problem, but I couldn't find the second jumper, so I put the first one on cable select and the problem was solved

it worked, i set it as CS and it worked in bios and xp. Thanks
