a friend got MOH, got this error message (screen inside)

It has to do with his video card (he doesn't know what card he has, I think it's onboard because it's a compaq p3 750) but anyway, what should he do? I think he's kinda screwed here.

    heres what ea says

its a PIII 750 and they don't even give him a decent vid card?

Either thats pathetic, or somebody is in some serious need for some drivers update lol

    has he tried updating drivers?

Would imagine there is some place on compaq's site where he can find out what kind of vid card was available on that model...

I told him to update the drivers, but I dunno if he knows how to. He isn't very techy. I'm off school tomorrow so I'll probably go to his house and see if we can figure this out. I'll ask him what model he has.

Well i know indeed that compaq installs some crappy video cards especially when they are on the motherboard i would recommend to get the best graphics out of that game to go get a PCI video card such as a TNT2 or a Geforce chipset. usually if its a intel chip inside its a intel onboard video card as well.. i work for compaq direct so i know alittle about their computers lol and well i don't wanna buy any of their computers thats for sure i see how they are made lol well hope this helps

I think it said it was a "intel i810" or something. Anyway, he came over today and fired the game up on my athlon. Wow, that game is really awesome. Best I've seen in a long time

um most likley if he has a compaq with onboard video his card is not able to run the game.

no driver will help since his card is well to be blunt sucks (or technically doesn't have the capabilities to hand the game)

You said something about "810".. That is what chip is one the motherboard. It also means that he onboard video and probably no agp. The 810 chip is an intel concoction that was aimed at the budget/intergrated marked. So you pretty have no chance in playing that game. The 810 and 815 both came with integrated video with a measly 1-4mb. (usually 1) That was the only way to get it untill the release of the second revision of the 815 with no video. But anyways..i rambling.. your gonna have to get a PCI video card. You should be able to find a geforce2mx PCI or all the way up to a geforce3. I would recommed a PCI gefoce2gts or Pro.
