I am going to sign up with a new account for the 2 month free live trial you get in the box... I have my starter kit account but I have not renewed its subscription, so the 2 month free trial thing is all good because I have a headset already. I cant wait to play it on live. Alot of people on the gamefaqs/Gamespot/IGN message boards are moaning about the way you get into ranked games. I think its good for the community of halo 2 in the end. At least there will be no godly masters of the game owning newbs to sky rocket their rankings. Now they too gotta play the game the right way to get what they earn.

So us ( me ) noobs won't have to play Elites ?? They rank you and place you in rooms with which your ranking is similar to???

Yes to a certain degree. Im a level 6er and I played a match last night against some level 4's, 5's and two level 1's. I dont know how it works out but one of the level 1's came in second place.

lol, you honestly believe that half-life 2 is going to kill halo 2?
Even if it only holds onto half of all the original Halo fanboys, its still going to be a huge success.
Besides, the games you are talking about are a whole other realm being on PC rather than console. | |

doom 3 and half-life are both fps. And don't forget that Halo is made for PC. So Halo has no specified "realm" | |

Halo 2 is not on the PC as of now, so basically the point is that it can't be compared to PC games like HL2 and Doom3. Apples and oranges.

well doom3 is coming to xbox and u cant compare the 2 cause the graphics on the PC version are still going to be way better.
