i just got HL2 over Steam and after 6h of dloading i run it... and it just sez Loading... for like 45min... and i got tired and restarted my comp.. anyone else get this?  ( i didnt pay $60 for nothing!

the game opens... i click Play Half-Life2.. the Valve screen comes up and then in the corner it sez Loading... | |

I bought the game, and just wanna play single player.
But, as I guessed it would, forcing a SP game to have an internet connection sux.
Steam is so hammered right now it won't even activate my game to let me play BY MY SELF.
Steam doesn't just blow...it sucks too! | |

hahahhaahahaha i new steam was going F it up lol why did the idiots at valve even put it on steam i mean only have it for multiplayer but not the single player as well??

They already have your money. AND...from the looks of it, this activation problem really hasn't prevented anyone from buying it.
Valve is in the driver's seat, and if this is the only way to prevent piracy, more power to them.
You're just going to have to wait. (or wait for a crack, but that will probably take much longer than the activation from Valve) | |
