They're not stupid |
I think it would be more affective to ban the accounts as soon as possible. Letting them cheat for month gives them an opportunity to use there level 60 character to bot for a while. If they ban them much sooner, the botters will eventually give up as they are just waisting money to level a character to 60 and then get immediatly banned. They would not even have time to to make gold or farm supplies.

One of our guild officers got hacked. We knew he was at work when he logged on, so one of his friends called him at work to make sure, since he wasn't replying to tells. Had him log the account to kick the guy off, then change the password. He ended up getting everything off his T1+ mage, and all the equipment off his warrior before they got the password changed. He reported it to Blizzard and had all his stuff back in four days I think. It's not like they don't do anything, they just have other problems that are more important probably. A bot doesn't really hurt anyone in the game. Hacking an account on the other hand... |

He got all his stuff back in 5 days.
I wonder what mods or what sites they visit to get keylogged. |

The easiest way to defeat keyloggers is to check the "remember account" checkbox. If you don't type in your username, they can only get the password, and that doesn't do them any good. |

Yep its what I do and actually I have a system solely for playing and another for browsing reducing the thread to get hijacked.
Recently my 6600GT is not keeping it, I still play at 1024 x 768 but I keep getting less than 30 FPS and like 10 in 40 man raids. |

Well, 40 mans will be a thing of the past soon. Don't feel bad, my X1900XT typically only gets 20-40 in MC. That's at 1280x1024 though. |

Probably Ill upgrade this card later on the road when I get some more cash, I plan to get an LCD Im tired of my CRT.. I plan to get 19" to play it at 1280 x 1024.. That will give me a more bloated ui
Probably I get a 7900 when prices go down a little more. |

I would like to change over to an nVidia card, the game seems to work better with them. Just a word of advice, skip 19" LCDs unless they're a widescreen. The 19" LCDs that are 1280x1024 don't look very good. 17" or 20" is the way to go.
I have been eyeing up a 21" widescreen on Newegg, but I doubt I'll come into the funds for a purchase. |

With my Opteron 1.8ghz and 5900 (Which is slower than the 6600gt) I get an average of 30-50fps just out questing and around 20 when I am in a large 40 man raid, and sometimes a little lower when running through Org or IF. That is at 1280x1024 resolution and all the graphics on their highest except for AA and AF. |

Altought never tested a Widescreen before, is better for the gameplay or it look weird like movies...
Altought this one catches my attention http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824254011
