With my Opteron 1.8ghz and 5900 (Which is slower than the 6600gt) I get an average of 30-50fps just out questing and around 20 when I am in a large 40 man raid, and sometimes a little lower when running through Org or IF. That is at 1280x1024 resolution and all the graphics on their highest except for AA and AF. | Well I dont know If it was the last driver I installed but I left wow for a month went back to MC and I started to get slowdowns, probably is my cluttered UI, I removed titan bar and it gave me back some FPS..
Thats why I switched to Fubar it doesnt eat as much resources as titan bar.
I remember I have disabled Triple Filtering and I have 16 Bit 24 color depth 1X AA, I dont recall right now my AF settings.
But most thins are set to low now to improve the framerate. |

Hmmm...I have several UIs installed including Titen Bar. My list contain I think around 30 addons. I did not notice a performance difference with teh addons turned on or off.

My laptop is 1280x800 widescreen and if it weren't for the fact that I have to run all low settings, I'd play on here rather than my desktop. The widescreen gives you a ton more room for buttons and everything else.
That's one of the monitors I was looking at myself, Washe. HannsG seems to have a good product for a low cost, haven't seen anything about them yet. |

Yeah, my laptop also runs at 1280x800 Widscreen and WoW looks a whole lot better. Its just that I don't like playing at 10fps (x200m video card)
I still get on WoW using my laptop to check mail and do simple quests from school. Nothing like pvp or hard quests where a faster computer and a real mouse (using mouse pad) would really help.
My laptop is also running all the addons my desktop is (I just copied the Addon and WTF folder) and I did not notice a performance hit either. |

Yeah, WoW allots 48MB for add-ons and with all of mine I never break 24MB or so. Laptop has no problems and I run on an Intel GPU. I usually get 30-40FPS outside, 10 or so in cities. But I've got a P4 and IIRC, you got a Celeron or Sempron. |

Outsie with not a lot of stuff I will get up to around 20fps which is good enough to play real well. Its just that when I start fighting a lot of things on the screen it will drop down a lot. |

That was lowering my performance and actually it was 1280 x 1024...
So after some tweaks im back to 20-35 FPS outdoors, need to test out a raid enviroment but I doubt I will have due to patch hell tomorrow...
And Wootness to 4000 posts.. |

Yeah, we have a ZG run scheduled for 7 tomorrow. It's the only day the raid leader has off. It should be interesting. I'm not changing any of my specs so it won't take me long to get setup, it's the add on hell I'm afraid of. |

1440 x 900 Resolution will be somewhat the same performance as 1024 x 728? |

There's probably almost twice the screen area on the 1440, so no, you'll see a reduction in FPS I'd bet. |
