I havent fought a shaman yet. Although on the normal server I'm on right now, the only real pvp I will see will be the bg's when they finally hit. In which case there will be probably no 1 vs 1, just more larger scale battles which is cool. I heard the dps does suck bad at 60 for a paladin. I can get good gear to help that, at least keep me going long enough with armor and hp's. In bg's I think I would be more charging through at the casters who I can hurt easier. Try to take them down and then help clean up the other guys after. The classes are pretty balanced, which is good. In bg's it will really come down to gear, player ability, and strategy, after that its rock/paper/scissors. No one class will shine without a good group behind them to back them up.

I'm a night-elf priest. I'm lvl 28 after 2 weeks of playing, and this is my only char. We did a small guild-war, 5v5 with a horde guild. It was fun, I was the lowest lvl, others went up to lvl 40. 2 Warrs, a druid, frost mage, and priest VS a warlock, 2 shamans, hunter, and priest. We didn't corpse camp much, just b/c we know each other in real life and really wanted to have a preview of BG's. Lots of fun until other ppl tried to get into it, then we quit/ran. The verdict was, if we killed their priest fairly quickly we were ok. Then I'd shield the mage while moving from bush to bush and flash heal the others. And then of course Shadow Word: Pain is awesome too

He must've played terribly, If it was me you'd be feared for 95% of the duel while taking DoT and some nice DD damage. I can do roughly 450 DoT (20-30 seconds) and 300+ DD damage (10-15 seconds) at level 20

Not to mention my imp blasting away for 25 damage every 2 seconds.

I only have 600 life 1000 mana at 20. (Not like anything gets close enough to me to land a hit/cast a big spell.

EDIT: The level difference would obviously end up resulting in me losing, just saying thats how a duel with someone 2 levels higher than me or someone
lower/equal to my level would go.

I would be level 30 by now, but I haven't been able to get on WoW because of horrible lag and ultimatly ending in me getting disconnected. Damn you junky video cards! Can't wait to build my new comp.

Well, I've seen a few names out there that Blizzard missed. Usually names of rather unfamous characters from novels, TV shows, movies, comics etc...

Certain mytholigical figures, Odin, Hephaestus, other rather uncommon ones like Hawaiin gods/goddeses, Native American deities, etc...

You don't get nearly as many dolts with L33TD|_||)3 retard names
There are still S3XYCH1CK names, but as soon as somebody reports them they get changed.

Okay you guys finally convinced me to get it, I will probably go and get it tomorrow. I would like to be part of the horde, but i don't know what race or class. What would you guys suggest as a good starting class/race? And also, what server are you guys on?

I tried playing him with whir and gib and vass...man maybe im just hooked on rogues but he is a pain. way too much micro-management...
