My guild has been there since release altought I was not there from day one, I was in a 20 guys guild and we joined Primal Dominion for bigger things.
Primal Dominion also joined forces with Pants, that its another guild that it has been there since day one, but they never merged us they are an extension of PD... Since we started raiding we have done with them a joint raiding effort.. Still we have faced attending issues and new people getting in.
Pre TBC we were hardcore we got MC and BWL pretty quick we were in the first guilds that were able to clear both instances, I spend many hours and wpes there, many wished to enter and many left us due that people tought we were super hardcore and wanted to raid everyday and we raided 4 days per week, Saturdays and Sundays where the main slots.
Either way we entered a hiatus after Naxx was released due that other Express loot guild were born we lost members that desired to go faster as you said, but the core of PD was still there, we keep playing TBC hit and we were rolling again, we blazed trought content, got 3 Karazhan groups running, we beat it, we got Magtheridon and Gruul, we stoped at SSC, Then again we left raiding for 6 months.... and the core of the guild is till there, and now we are back since January and we beat whole SSC, just getting Vashj fight and then we jump to TK... Our aim is getting to BT before the next expansion hits us and take a break from raiding.
So basically many have faced the same challenges than you, but if the core of the guild stays due that they like what they have you will continue to enjoy the game. | I guess the problem is that our core is only 5-10 people who are all on different play schedules. I would regularly play on "off" hours and was never on with any of my guildmates. Which is partly why i ended up solo'ing to level 70 and getting my flying mount. Hrmm, maybe i should shop around and see if another guild fits my play time better instead of trying to build a guild that fits my playtime. Quote:

Ohh true that. EQ2 basicly was soloable until 20 and then the difficulty level skyrocketed and you couldnt kill anything your level without a group. Retarded if you ask me. |

I'm referring to Ever Quest 1, not 2.
Everquest 2 is soloable with ease all the way until the level cap, but it still requires more grouping to get decent gear than WoW.

My problem lately is play time is limited, and boredom. Leveling new Toons is alright but some of the excitement is gone. you know been there done that.

I got actually a toon for each class... 4 reached 70, 2 are reaching lvl 60, 2 are in their 40 and the rest are less than 30...
But by far the shaman class has been the best to level by a pretty big margin |

Does anyone know of a website where I can build my character, and switch out the talents and gear to see what kind of changes it has to my damage output, resists, mana regen, ect...?
The only ones I know of will download information from the WoW armory and tell you what your current gear and talents do to your stats, however, to see what X armor with Y talents does, you have to actually go and make those changes in game to your character. |

But by far the shaman class has been the best to level by a pretty big margin | leveled the Shaman to 70 first.
Then started a BE Pallychic to 62, haven't played her in a while. Got tired of playing Whack-A-Mole with a prot spec and never found a spec that seemed to suit Me. Just seems like it takes twice as long to kill anything as a pally.
Worked a hunter up to 60 (61 almost 62 now) He is actually my favorite.
Next up was a rogue I started and got bored with, and came back to level him to 61
the others are around 12-15. |

But by far the shaman class has been the best to level by a pretty big margin | Sounds like my characters somewhat. Every race, every class. I just have 2 priests, holy & shadow. 2x 4x's, 1 35, the rest mid to low 2x's. 1 15 rogue that I've had camping out Gurubashi Arena in attempt to get the damn trinket. But I'm always killed... I've been burnt out on my warrior, contemplating on just focusing on lvl'ing shammy/lock, but I'm so bored of lvl'ing alts as well.
Shammy is really fun to play, but I kind of find it a useless dps class outside of raids.

Shammy is really fun to play, but I kind of find it a useless dps class outside of raids. | Well you dont know well the class...
For PVE you got Enhacement / Restoration
For PVP you got Elemental / Restoration
Leveling Enhacement is the best build, you hardly stop at all in raids they are very desired on melee groups a shaman can increase the group dps greatly with totems, buffs and bloodlust, My shaman is usually in the 4-7 dps chart depending on the boss on a night counting the whole raid im usually at 5th place.
Elemental is pretty huge in PVP, I got a friend that melts most people even in arena gear.
Restoration Shaman are pretty good healers actually they have 2 very powerfull spells, Earth Shield and Chain Healing... For the amount healed and mana used they are the most efficient to use.
Shaman class allows you to play as you like, the only downfall would be that there is not a good hybrid build, you need to use most of the talents of a tree to be efficient. |
