Leveling Enhacement is the best build, you hardly stop at all in raids they are very desired on melee groups a shaman can increase the group dps greatly with totems, buffs and bloodlust, My shaman is usually in the 4-7 dps chart depending on the boss on a night counting the whole raid im usually at 5th place.
Elemental is pretty huge in PVP, I got a friend that melts most people even in arena gear.
Restoration Shaman are pretty good healers actually they have 2 very powerfull spells, Earth Shield and Chain Healing... For the amount healed and mana used they are the most efficient to use.
Shaman class allows you to play as you like, the only downfall would be that there is not a good hybrid build, you need to use most of the talents of a tree to be efficient. | I should have said that in full context. One of the things that doesn't make me too fond of the class is lack of cc (mostly in reference to 5mans). I don't mind ele shammys when the entire group is ranged. For the most part enh is hit or miss depending on how good the player is. Haven't played w/many resto, but they were on par. Only raiding enh shammy left the guild a few weeks ago. When he was around he did pretty awesome though.
The post I made earlier was right after a really terrible H Mech run. We started off with a kitty, and halfway through was replaced with a shammy. Neither cc so it kind of put a strain on the group and threw composition off the entire run, making for a nice ol' wipefest. This shammy was running around w/a 2h. Have I missed something? Or was this guy just a retard? I wanted to say something but I'm sure he would have shot that comment at me about I don't know what I'm talking about.
Most that I've learned about shammy's has been observed from you. I would like to think I know "enough", not claming to know everything. I'm a tank n that's really all I care to focus on for the time being. If I happen to lvl my shammy to 70 before the expansion I don't think I'll be raiding with him, and mostly just use em for farming. |

Hrmm, maybe i should shop around and see if another guild fits my play time better instead of trying to build a guild that fits my playtime. | This has always been my biggest issue. Most guilds raid in the evening. Sometimes I don't get out of school until 11pm(central) at the latest so I've usually missed the raids at that time. In the past month with all the influx of new people we were able to start a late night group. Most of my free time to play is during late night hours to early morning. I know there's a couple late night raiding guilds on my server, but haven't decided to ask on my realms forums just yet. Unless I'm incorrect when I said I'm easily replaceable, that late night group might end up asking me to join the runs until they find someone else... Not counting on it though, I was piss drunk and spouted off some really stupid shit.

BTW, awesome that they dedicated this to Gary Gygax. | Well basically a new instance Magister Terrace is here, many that couldnt face Kael in a 25 man, can now try it!
New badge rewards...
You can now join AV in a group... no more wining because you couldnt enter grouped...
A lot of changes in there... and this mostly marks the end of the Burning Crusade content wise, next content patch will have to be the expansion. |

So more instance raiding that is going to require you to get better gear by completing the larger raids or doing more heroic badge runs ... yay grind!
I love how they have had a year to develop content for the new expansion and its still not here ... sigh ... more waiting until solo content is there. |

Magister Terrace is a 5 man... It will be hard to do it tought.
if you cannot get a 5 man running then you are out of luck...
Solo content can be new daily quests.. or wait until next expansion |
