hmm, my usercp didn't show this thread as updated.

For bosses my hit set puts me at ~120 and with elemental precision you don't really need more. There's no reason to be at the hit cap, the sacrifice to crit to get hit is too much IMO. For trash in raids and everywhere else I'm at ~96 hit and ~21% crit I think, on lunch I'll switch him out to his normal gear, he's got stm stuff on now.

right now unbuffed I'm at 22.82% crit, 968 spell damage, and 102 hit rating (11.09% fire/frost and more for arcane with talents). I wanna get the badge legs that (with gems) will put me at 24.68% crit unbuffed, same spell damage, and .4% less hit.

I found a site called Warcrafter after giving up with dealing with the bugs of CTProfile.


If you tweak around in the sandbox, you can see how certain things effect the dps.


I found that the closer you are to the hit cap, the mroe effect +crit and spell damage has on dps.


BTW, for frost spec, the hit cap is 164. For my spec (Arcane/Frost) the arcane hit cap is like 112 while Frost is still 164.


The closer I got to a 164 hit rating, the higher my dps increases were whenever I added a +crit or spell damage gem.

on that site when I put on my raid gear with the bloodgem I'm at 858 dps, I'm not sure i believe that I'm missing 8.5% of the time though. guess I'm gonna have to consult recount next time I raid on acalion.

I've been working on my alts since last week getting most of them a lvl or 2. Most consistently focusing on my shammy though, looks like I might have enough rest to get em a level up when I get home from school tonight. I mostly play my lock w/the gf but I been itching to just level him on my own. I haven't messed with my 70's much in a while. Every now n then I'll do the daily bg w/my hunter, or farm a bit, but I'm just bored as hell with them both since I left my last guild n can't find a guild that raids the time I'm looking for. I guess until I find a new guild to be of use in I'm just going to work on my alts for the most part.
