Finally knocked out the required heroics for Champ of Naaru title.... Then realized my guild isn't doing Mags anymore. Been checking with people I know to hopefully get a spot in some other guild runs, but iunnoo. Bout to post something on the realms forums if I can't find something real quick... Just wanna get title before WOTLK n I'll be done with current end game for now (although I'd still offer up my tankage to return the favor to whatever guild gets me in)...

Is there any reason I should stay in a guild? I don't raid, rarely group. I'm a solo player. Why should I be in a guild?

Sounds like you don't need to be in one. I'm in one, but mostly I ignore everything they say. Guilds are great for group/raid but too often they end up being tools for the lazy players to use to get things done for them. Our chat channel is full of "hey, can summ1 gimme..." or "hey plz run me / hlp with quest." Get on thottbot if you're not smart enough and leave me alone to my solo leveling.

there is nothing really wrong with the Guild I'm in, I just don't really serve any purpose. They have every craft covered, the Guild bank is so full of crap they have to sell stuff off just to make room.
They don't need Me, unless of course they need a punch line for a joke. (and with some of the people they have in the guild they don't even need me for that.)

I did /gquit on one of my toons. I said something about I should just ./gquit, and somebody said to leave out the "." next time. or something like that. so I took his advice.
I'm going to sleep on the rest of them. Might be shopping for a new guild, or might just fly solo for awhile. Who knows Might just stay where I am. I just don't see much sense in being in a guild that doesn't want, care about, or need me. I'm not doing anything for them, why be there?

Ain't not as bad as position I'm in, but I fucked myself on that one. I've already played with the people that matter to me at all to have proven I'm a decent player and not a complete jerk off player... But my guild only hits me up to do KZ when I've told them countless times, I'm done tanking KZ, I just wan't to chill out, relax n dps on my alts for a while, but noooo....
The only guilds that interest me are the higher ranked guilds on the server, but since WOTLK so close now nobody is recruiting, only reason I joined guild I'm in now was cause gf was in it...
I just wanna get my damn title before wotlk. Already hit up my friends in other guillds bout getting spot in Mags but nobody really giving me a solid answer, without joining there guilds... And I'm definately not going back to the last one I was in, lol... All the players that I did like from that guild left except like 3, but I'm not going back there cause I ain't down for hearing one of the raid leaders yelling at everyone about stupid drops every damn raid.

well nunya, the short answer is why not be in the guild? I thought you might like some of our /g antics hehe. Do you just find the grouped stuff boring or something? I know you've come along once or twice before.

Also that guy that told you "leave out the "." next time" is a dumb teenager.

Well that depends on what you want Nunya.. sometimes reading guild chat is entertaining enough..but pretty much a guild purpose is to tackle instances faster due it easier to get your pals running one than using LFG or /1 or /2 in cities and of course tackle end game content. but that probably wont suit you.

I have been like 4 years with the current one with my main, and I have been on others with some of my alts, tough my main guild is pure win even when we dont do anything.

Our guild started off as a group of us that were fed up with the guild we had been in. There was a long time when it was just us six. Then I slowly recruited just about everyone from TIMO that didn't already have toons elsewhere. Then we just kept growing.

I feel that we're too big now, a sentiment echoed by a few other founders. However, there isn't anyone anymore (by and large) that I don't like in the guild. We chase those people out pretty quickly.

Do whatever makes you happiest, Nunya. I wouldn't worry too much about "not helping the guild." The only people that aren't welcome are the ones that take without ever giving.

lovely, I caused drama by picking out the highest dps in the guild for an attempt at the bear mount (some people in our guild feel that anyone should be given the chance to go to any raid regardless of intent or gearing). I just rememered that I can't even go at the time I arranged it.

oh, and yes it was john.
